I tried it out and it really looks great. With a little playing around I was able to equip any combination of sabers. IMHO, it would look even better with shorter saber staffs. Two full length ones look a bit unwieldy, but cool nonetheless.

There's just one little problem ... the game mechanics don't work right. Extra attacks are not gained, instead they may be lost. If a regular saber is in the main hand and a staff in the off hand, then you only get one attack from the off hand saber staff. If a staff is equipped in the main hand and either a regular saber or staff in the off hand, then the game refuses to recognize attacks from the off hand and you only get one base attack from the staff in the main hand.

It is not just a display issues. I tested on the respawning wraids (using an old save game and playing under the first patch -- should that make a difference?). I used force kill to determine how much base health they have. Then I tried all the various combinations of sabers and kept track of how much damage was displayed before the wraid was killed. In all cases the amount of damaged displayed (both on the action screen and the feedback screen) had to exceed the wraid's health before it died. Ergo, there was no undisplayed damage being done.

Summary of # of attacks post mod:

main/off: #attacks

staff/staff: 1 main attack, 0 off hand attacks

staff/regular: 1 main attack, 0 off hand attacks

staff/none: 1 main attack, 0 off hand attacks

regular/staff: 1 main attack, 1 off hand attack

regular/regular: 1 main attack, 1 off hand attack

regular/none: 1 main attack, 0 off hand attacks

Looks like it could use a bit more work to get it to work as intended, but it is still cool to fool around with (for appearance sake only).

Change the baseitems.2da. With Kotor tool change the equipableslots row from 0x00010 to 0x00030, and in the weaponwield row change all to 2.

I made a mod that makes all dual handed weapons (double bladed lightsabers, double swords, and blasters) into one handed weapons. It's at pcgamemods but was done a while ago so click on the weapons button or use the search, it's the only mod I've released.

Please... Please... Juha Avery read the Holowan Laboratories: Rules and Etiquette thread, as posting your email is not allowed. You don't want a moderator to use the lightning button on you right?

By 50 posts you should have read the rules thread by now. ;)

EDIT: 2 posts up Darth333 says the mod is available from a link in the first post of the thread, Darth333 also states for people to not post their emails too.
