-=DarkZero=-
I think that's the error, what it's called. I'm just not completely sure what it is, and I don't know if it's caused by the no cd crack or now, if anybody knows about the error, can you give me a headsup, it's not exactly on my beautiful, fast computer, it's on a computer at work, and IT's slow, and I think it's a lag issue, but if not, and theres a way to get around it, could anybody help me? -=DarkZero=-
I don't think it's the crack though, because I use it so I don't scratch my cd, and it never does it to my pc >_>, But next time I'm working I'll try playing without the crack. Andy867
I can tell you right now with 99.9999999% assurance that the NO-CD Crack IS the problem with the cl_parsepacketentities error that you are experiencing. Basically, the game was DESIGNED to run with the CD and when it doesnt see the CD in the drive and requests information from it, bam, kicks you out of game and gives the error. -=DarkZero=-
Alrighty than, I got rid of the patch, which I'm 100 percent sure wasn't the problem because this never happens on my home computer, and now we're using the disc. During the run of the jamp.exe, or from selecting it from disc,it keeps saying jamap.exe has made an error withen jamp.exe so like....
Kurgan
Step 1: Completely remove all your warez, leaked beta, etc (all illegal versions of the game). (Also remove the JA demo if you have it installed) Step 2: Completely remove all your cracks, hacks, and "Patched" exe's created by non Raven/LucasArts people. Step 3: Make sure everything JA related is completely uninstalled. Step 4: Take the REAL PURCHASED FULL RETAIL GAME (not a "backup copy" or anything like that) and INSTALL it from the original disc 1 (not a copy of disc 1). Follow the onscreen instructions. Step 5: Go visit http://www.lucasarts.com or http://www.lucasfiles.com and download the 1.01 retail patch. Install it. Step 6: Reboot your system (if necessary). When running the game in the future, Disc 1 always has to be in the drive (or a CLONE of disc 1, if you insist on not using the original disc, but remember it has to be a 1:1, say using CloneCD, not some hacked warez disc). That's for MP mind you, for SP you'll need the ACTUAL DISC to play. For hosting a dedicated server you don't need the disc, just the installed game. Remember if you host an illegal version of the game on a server, only people with the same illegal version can join! (tsk, tsk) If you're still unsure, run the System Analzyer Program again (from the CD) and make sure JA passes all the tests 100%. Now your problems should be gone. If not, try joining another server. If not, get the latest network drivers (if applicable). We can't help you further, sorry. Why should Raven (or us) support unofficial hacks?
