vash_a_2004
Whats up guys. I need some help. Im makeng a relly big map and when I make it hallow and bsp and then play it, it leaks everywhere. Also i want to know how to make models apear in the sky for instance courisant all those big buildings in the background are models but they are part of the texture, also with tatooine when you use noclip and fly around outside the level you'll see a floating model of tatooine buildings and you'll notice that they are the ones in the background as well. How do you do this ?????
Codja X
see the thread below for Portal skies - that's what you're after.
Jedi_Vogel
Patch up the leaks first and then test it. If you want to set a height limit to your map, then you can just use a normal sky "brush" (or box, though I'm not fond of the term skybox, as it confuses me, lol). Codja X
for the fogs, extract the file: fogs.shader from one of the PK3 files and open it up in notepad, and you'll see a list of all the fogs in the game. Â For the portal skies, have a look on http://www.map-review.com and you'll find a tutorial under the "tutorials" heading on the bottom left hand corner. Â the url is: Â http://www.map-review.com/index.php?page=tutorial_view&id=15 Â This should help - it helped me!

Make sure that structural brushes separate your map from the void everywhere. Filter out entities, detail brushes, and patches (press CTRL+D, CTRL+P, and ALT+2), and make sure you can't see the void from inside your map.
