The_One Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Hmmm, I'm surprised they even released that screenshot - it's just criminal! I played the Doom 3 Alpha a while back, and let's just say the shadows are amazing. I even jumped when I saw my own shadow! When lights are swinging above you, your shadow extends and warps just as you'd expect it to. It's great!

And notice how all of it is dark (I know its meant to be, but dark rooms seem to be being used a lot - Far Cry, Doom3, etc). And those shadows are...well...rubbish. Thats like having flags blowing in different directions right next to each other.
