lukeskywalker1
This is annoying me, how do I save a .PRT file?! Its supposed to save during the .BSP stage. If i click to compile something like this: -BSP -meta -vis -light -fast.... etc, the compile cuts off during the vis phase, because it says it cant load the .PRT file. If I try to run the prt viewer, same thing. Occasionally, somehow, the .PRT gets saved, but I dont know how to do it? I looked through preferences, but it doesnt mention a .PRT. Why cant the -vis stage read the .PRT file in my maps? Does it not work if they leak or something?
WadeV1589
A prt file will only be saved if there are no leaks in the BSP stage. Errors tend to prevent prt creation.
wedge2211
Also, if the compile goes smoothly, the .prt file will be automatically deleted, so the Portal Viewer in Radiant won't work. If you want to use that, you'll have to stick a flag on the BSP process, -saveprt I believe. But first, as Wade said, check your BSP log for leaks! wedge2211
Filter details, patches, and entities before you check for leaks.
