As you see, this isn't the fisrt time Rogue Squadron has been to Cilpar. CILPAR A formerly Imperially-held planet covered with mountains, jungles, and forests. Dozens of ancient native temples, predating the human settlements on Cilpar and nearly indestructible, can be found scattered throughout the forest. Animal life on Cilpar includes the dangerous carnivores called ronks, which are attracted to light and highly allergic to oratay. Male ronks are considered a delicacy on Cilpar, though females are instantly fatal if eaten. Other foodstuffs sold on-planet include mundis and thrashed puerco. Cilpar’s local Moff was Boren Tascl, and its planetary ruler was Governor Norquest. The pair had a palace stronghold in the main city of Kiidan, and seemed prepared to turn Imperial facilities over to the Alliance following the death of the Emperor. Instead, Moff Tascl rejected the deal and wiped out two suburbs of a Cilpari city, including the neighborhood of Tamarack. Wedge Antilles and Rogue Squadron arrived on Cilpar after the Battle of Endor and set up a base in the mountains, west of Kiidan. They were to pick up food and supplies from the Cilpari resistance and escort the convoy to Mrisst, but instead they ran into a waiting TIE fighter ambush. Wedge’s contact with the Cilpari underground was a mysterious woman known only as Targeter, later revealed as Princess Leia’s assistant Winter. Elscol Loro, leader of the Cilpari resistance, represented the legitimate local government of the planet; her husband Throm had been killed years before fighting Moff Tascl's forces at the Battle of the Cliffs. After a long battle, Moff Tascl and Governor Norquest were overthrown by the resistance, as the expected Imperial reinforcements decided to abandon the duo. MISSION DESCRIPTION Okay Rogues we have been ordered to attack a Imperial Prison. New Republic spies have uncovered the prison, there has been also a report that the spies found indicating they have non- human prisoners on route to the prison. We need to rescue those prisoners, and make sure no harm comes to them. Since it supposed to be secret they have no idea that we are planning this. This mission will not come without missfortune. There are also several squadrons of Tie Defenders on guard around the prison. Yes, Tie Defenders. Hey, but we are Rogues so, no problem. We will carry this out in three days, so get prepared, run simulator runs. Anything trhat will prepare you. Lets do it for the New Republic and the prisoners. Okay, that's about it people. Guest Redwing Posted May 20, 2001 Share Posted May 20, 2001 Rogue Seven standing by, all (well most) systems in green and engines hot...aw shoot, my shield generator isn't working...and there goes my left engine. **thinks to self: why did I ever start upgrading this stuff?** PS I have an A-Wing Mark 5, my personal upgrade...I've got a rare plasma shield generator, (not NEARLY as powerful as Trael's...basically an added-on extra shield generator that causes laser bolts to bounce off rather than get absorbed) now if I can only get it to WORK! ------------------ At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. Once the POWs are rescued, do we escort the transport carrying the POWs personally or does a capital ship escort them? They are necessary to counteract my A-Wing's fragility. Plasma shields (mine): Deflect laser bolts instead of absorbing them; slightly above X-Wing normal shield strength. Past that I have the A-Wings normal shields and a slightly tougher hull/system. (Tough enough so the engines wouldn't go offline if a micrometeroid slipped in like what happens to A-Wing Mark Ones... ) All in all my A-Wing is pretty decent. I want to add small ion cannons to the rotating blasters but I haven't managed to attach the power source yet. (turns back around) Hay, my R5 been equiped with 2 additonal targeting computers so I can trasmit data to the entire squadron on several enemy targets allowing you guys to get more accurite shots. Lets get ready the mission is going to be hard. Tommarrow. Tommarrow is the day where the Empire pays the price, once again. Now, Grand Admiral Ice, to answer your questions, we have a squadron of B-Wings to come along with us to help bomb the prisons after we make sure there are no prisoners in the facility. After the prisoners are rescued, the B-Wings will escort them away while we keep the Defenders of their back. The prisoners will be escorted away on The Fist of Sullust. It is a stolen Imperial class Star Destroyer stolen from the Empire and renamed. (We are on it right now heading towards Cilpar to let you know.) And what happens if we fail? We will no longer be able to call ourselves Rogues. May I wish us the best of luck.
