What kind of game will be SW: Battlefront?

wow such broad ends of the gaming spectrum.

UT with its constant Mach 20 pace and engineered for those with A.D.D.

Operation Flashpoint with its slow but calculating clunkiness.

How about somewhere in between and maybe a game made in the past 2 years (OPF was 4 years ago and UT 2004 I wonder?)

Basically I'm betting its BF1942 with blasters, speeders and stormtroopers. 2-3 hits to kill someone, or just enough to annoy you when you know you have the drop on them yet they survive.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I've heard that it is more like Halo...

I wouldn't put too much faith in such comparisons.

Everything gets compared to Halo these days...as if it were the only FPS on the planet. :mob:

I am not familiar with exactly the type of game. I keep hearing people say a third person shooter and first person mix of a game. I don't understand it all myself. All I know I am a fan of star wars flight simulatar and strategy games.

i highly doubt it will be like halo. Don't get me wrong i have halo and have preordered the second but halo is more of a one man, kill everything inyour path kinda game. There really isn't that much sense of teamwork especially after every allie on the planet is dead halway through the game and you are stuck by yourself with the occaisonal allie gone crazy(who are enimies because they are pycho). Anyway you get the piont.

The comparison with Halo is ridiculous. It's nothing like Halo.

Besides, Halo isn't THAT great.

I'm pretty sure they were comparing it to the multiplayer component of Halo.
