Any PS2 Gamers out there?

Hey!

Since the annoucement, I have been following this game like the media on O.J.

I stumbled upon this site! Now, I was wondering, after reading a lot of threads, are there any members here only getting this game for the PS2?

Sure, I own a PC, but it was cheapass piece of crap. But it runs the net and a few programs I want, so it does the job!

For me, Star Wars Battlefront is going to be my PS2 game, taking over from SOCOM 2. Yeah, yeah, I know, the Ps2 is "the weakest" but whatever, if I can still jump on a speederbike, chase a rebel through the woods and crash, no matter how bad the graphics are compared to the other systems and PC, I am still in love!!

I am a star wars playstation one and playstation 2 gamer. I buy only those on those systems. I do buy some PC Star Wars games but only if they can run on a 8MB video card or less. Basically any Star wars game that can out before Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast for PC. I do plan on buying Star Wars Battlefront for PS2 only. I dislike Nintendo 64 and Gamecubes. Poor Video Game selection! I don't have the time or money to go and buy Microsoft X-box. Heck, Star Wars Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, and Clone Wars are all on PS2 already. I dislike Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi Academy. No need for X-box. Plus I dislike the storyline for Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords and Republic Commando. Playstation 2 all the way!

You dis KOTOR? I'm in shock now...someone disliking KOTOR...I can't play another RPG unless I feel I have the ability to insult/kill those NPCs whenever they something stupid. If the kotor engine was applied to Final Fntasy 10-2, I'd be the biggest dark player ever. ;)

not true, that is two games. I think Armed and Dangerous looks good. I think Obi-Wan looks good. I think JA looks good. I think alot of games I cant play look good. But if I mentioned every single game i thought looked good, then I'd be wasting alot of time, why not just tell you the two relevent ones? hm, I just did.

The main reason I dislike Knights of the Old Republic and the sequel coming out in 2005 is due to characters, storyline, etc. set no where near the 6 movies. I buy Star Wars games to play them because they use characters, starships, vehicles, locations, etc. from the 6 Star Wars films. They basically made up a new and slapped on Star Wars as the title.

Have you seen the game? Yes, the characters are different, but besides that, everything is true to the Star Wars films!

Yes, the minor reason is the fact that Playstation 2 was given the shaft many times in 2003 and 2004 with no Star Wars games with the exception of Star Wars Battlefront on Sept. 21, 2004. The graphics on my PS2 are good. The only difference with a X-box and Playstation 2 besides physical appearance of controller and game system is the fact it has internet adaptor built into it and it's own harddrive. Nothing else! That is not enough to warrent another $150 dollar purchase of a second console system.

Yahooooo!! PS2 soon-to-be Battlefront players unite!

Another benefit of the PS2 Battlefront is you pay for the game, thats it. PC, I am guessing you would need a decent graphics card, so thats at least another $50 ontop of the game price.

To play online on the Xbox, you got your XBox Live monthly fees!!

Us PS2'ers.. $49.99, nuff said..

Actually.. ok, $40 for the network adapter.. but.. yeah.

Shut up.

Still! When I come back from vacation in September on the 23rd, I shall have my Battlefront in hand, ready to blast some rebel scum on my lovely PS2!
