I prefer to see myself as nuetral, I don't believe in the destructive nature of the Darkside nor do I believe in the restrictions the Jedi put on themselves, sometimes it is necessary to be "destructive" given the right situation ofcourse, and a grudge or two can't hurt. I have to agree with you on one thing though RedHawke I do love the Force Wave althoguh I hope it does more damage this time around.

Actually, I don't know what my preferred powers will be right off in KOTOR:TSL.

Obsidian said they were going to have a lot of new powers as well as the ones from KOTOR, and with prestiege classes who knows the levels of desruction we will be able to unleash! :D

Sorry if I was unclear, but I was implying that hopefully they would add some good "offensive" lightside forcepowers.

Ok Mav... I get it now...

Unfortunately there is no such thing as an "offensive" lightside force power. To cause damage you must channel negative emotions, that lightsiders cannot do, Force Wave is a telekinetic blast knocking opponents to the ground and is probably the best damaging power the lightside will get.

Remember;

Right there, what Yoda just said is my one problem with the Jedi he/she??? said NEVER, that to me is stupid, there are always times when it may be necessary to attack, and I really don't see much difference between say using the force to throw things at your opponent like Vader did, or using the force to jump and attack your opponent with your lightsaber, so I guess it just seems hipocritical to me, UNLESS Yoda means just not to start the fight but once you are in it......anything goes.

You just made my point Mav, the Jedi are so weak against an enemy like the Sith because they rigidly adhere to their rules, and to a Jedi... Never means to Never use the Force for attack... so no lightside massive damaging force powers. It goes against everything the light (life) stands for.

Remember the Jedi adhere to these rules because of tradition, and the constant vigil against the darkside and what it can do.

It is a basic rule of Star Wars if you use the force to directly harm another then that is flatly a dark act, and is darkside.

Using telekinesis to harm an opponent ala Darth Vader is Darkside, while Force Jumping and slashing with a Lightsaber is not, because you are not using the force directly to cause harm.

The game company has to keep this fact in mind when making force powers, lightside is detection and defense, darkside is attack and damage, and that is how it goes.

Maverick you are more a Sith Mid-Master or Mid-Master Jedi than you know. :D

That is why I would consider myself more nuetral, because I don't approve of killing people for no reason, but I don't adhere to silly rules, either, and as it ended up, my first playthrough actually resulted with my character actually only at about a 60 on the LS-DS scale i.e DS=0-----------50----------100=LS, you know that is also one of the fun things about the game, you can play through the game making the choices that *you* want to make and not playing super LS or super DS and you can figure out what you are, sort of like one of those personality quizzes...lol

Wow we agree on something!! LOL heck if we can agree on something maybe the Sith and the Jedi will reach an agreement......NAAAAHHHHHHH....lol

I think I am going to do the same thing for my first play-through of KotOR: TSL though, just play it how I want to play it and not worry about being overtly LS or DS and see if I end up nuetral again or if I end up tilted a certain way. We'll just have to see, after all you always run into that annoying NPC that asks you for something and you can't help but "teach them a lesson"...lol I have a feeling I'll end up nuetral again though.

I hope there is a nuetral ending choice instead of just LS and DS like KotOR 1 i.e. 1. Destroy Star Forge, or 2. Use Star Forge for evil. I don't know what a nuetral choice would have been in that situation though :p

I prefer neutral also, that way you don't have to adhere yourself to the strict rules of light and darksides. As for Yoda saying "A jeid uses the force for knowledge and defense, never for attack." I disagree, I don't see anything wrong with using the force to attack, moreover the jedi purging themselves of emotion is to deny the fact of being human.:emperor:

And Emperor Pangasa that is exactly what the Jedi rules are trying to do!

The ultimate Jedi according to their own rules would be a Star Trek Vulcan, Calm, Passive, and no emotions.

I also believe that in EP3 that those very rules will help the Jedi fall. But that is just my speculation! :D

Jedi forget that there emotions are not the enemy themselves, it is a complete lack of control over there emotions that harm they and those around them that should be avoided.

To deny being human is foolish, you are a creature with emotions, it is knowing when to control them, that is important. Not trying to purge them completely. Remember, anger, and hate may be emotions, but so is compassion.

A Jedi should not use the force to attack, unless it is to defend an innocent. He should never use it to gain wealth, or kill only for vengeance, though if get that through doing 'justice'; then it might not be so bad. ;)

I agree. I mean, how am I supposed to get with Bastila if I can't love. Also how am I supposed to turn her away from the Dark Side at the end if she doesn't love me?

As for attacking without provocation, I agree with what you said too.
