Did no one of you ever play Operation Flashpoint? That game has no common crosshair and when you zoomed in, you had to aim with the ironsights if you were using an AK47 or an M16. SWB will be a walk in the park, even for softcore gamers like me.

I played OP, didn't like it much. Anyway, i don't like the whole idea of using the ironsights, it doesn't work for me. I'm guessing SWB won't be using the ironsight only stuff, but it's probably possible that you'll be able to turn the crosshair off. This is more of a softcore shooting game, not fully realistic.

Though I like the idea of no crosshairs, the fact that you have no depth perception in a game and more importantly, as mentioned above, people will simply cheat by putting a mark on their monitor makes it unworkable.

This is the oldest trick in the book. The devs have been hiding in a closet if they are unaware of the issue this will cause.

Who in the world would not include a crosshair on an FPS game, even if it's the summit of realism (Operation Flahspoint was, and it had some sort of crosshairs/sights).

Worst yet, who the hell is gonna stick something on the monitor?!?! Is out there a moron capable of doing that? Booga!

third person would have to have crosshairs because u can look around everuwhere...it would be hard to tell what ur person is looking at....he might be aiming at the ground but u can see over the little hill and think your aiming right at the person when really ur not.

Socom II is a perfect example, crosshairs are necissary for 3rd person

because it would be in 3rd person it would have to be available for first person...especially in vehicales such as the At-At

it is possible that it is optional, but then you would be giving the other guy the upper hand, even if you are that good, still no one can see you not using crosshairs, so its cheating yourself. SO it is possible that it is optional (unadvisably an optional)but it is most definatly going to be there

in cod some servers have crosshair turned off, and if you go to a "normal" server afterwards you'll need to enable it back again in the menu, some time ago didnt bother to. No crosshair doesnt bother for me but i'm afraid many will since so many ppl cried cs condition zero had a small one (and no, i dont play it or ever did)
