I thought it would be fun to make a recruitable mod that involved making a new NPC. I wanted to make

it unique, so I selected a Quarren since the game already had all the necessary files to make one. I

decided to have him replace HK-47 in Lightside games, so I tried to arrange it so that you could only

recruit him after you've pacified the Sand People Chieftain. This mod really helped me learn a lot of

new skills, including dialog creation and scripting.

destroy_telkka.nss/ncs - Source/compiled script that removes NPC from area after successfully recruting him

 

recruit_telkka.nss/ncs - Source/compiled script that removes HK-47 from the party and adds new NPC

No, I used the file from the game. I wasn't aware that you had a reskin. I didn't steal your mod did I?

You know what, I do have your reskin in my override from when I installed your mod (hence why the screenies look like your mod). If you check the download itself you'll see that I didn't include any texture files, so hopefully you'll believe me when I say that it was an honest mistake that your reskin showed up in my screenshot. The mod is intended to use the file provided by the game. Please accept my sincerest apology for the error and let me know if you'd like for me to pull the screens.

Hmm I would have to say that maybe a Kath hound Jedi would be unique ...lol just kidding, I dunno a Bith Jeid would be too musical ...lol and the Duros just don't seem to fit as Jedi, but Duros would be good Scoundrel NPCs I guess, I'm just trying to think of models that are already in the game, I know someone made a Trandosharan (sp?) Jedi mod, let me get back to you on unique Jeid species. Oh and by the way I like how your NPC Quarren is a Jedi Consular I think that is the class that best fits the specie's "look"

The game had him as a Jedi Guardian, but based on the stats he had, I made him a Sentinel. I was almost finished with the mod when I decided to make on minor tweek to his stats and changed his class to Consular =)

NPC? Don't you mean playable character or party member? an NPC is a non-playable character, like someone you talk to in the game but can't control.

 

Anyways, it looks awesome!
