manoman81
Hopefully I won't get in trouble for asking this. I just got the LOTR Return of the King soundtrack. Yeah, I know, I'm late getting it. Anyway, I copied most of the CD to my hard drive. However, when playing the playlist, the last two songs start having this intermitent static that gets worse as the song continues. Is there anyway to fix this. I have done everything I can think of. The only thing I can think is causing problems is that the CD is an "enhanced" one. Any thoughts? I tried Quinntesential Player (my main media player), something called Exact Audio Copy, and the iTunes ripper all with the same results. I've had this problem with other CDs too. Older ones that came out before the move to the anti-copy software on CDs...
txa1265
After that is the CD itself - I was ripping R.E.M.'s "Automatic for the People", which fell victim to our older son when he liked dumping CD's when he was ~18 months old. Anyway, I was ripping it last night, and on iTunes the CD sounded like the computer would eventually just puke it out .... I tried several on a few computers but alas, the pops and clicks translated to a pretty lousy rip, and we'll likely be buying a new copy.
