Next week: Athlon64 3400+ 1 Gigabyte DDR-RAM many extras and my old graphic card Congrats on the new system. I'm probably going to build a new PC at the end of the month when I get my bonus check. If you don't mind me asking, why are you opting for the Athlon64? I'm a big AMD fan, but I was under the impression that there weren't a lot of apps out there for 64-bit. It's compatible with 32-bits applications as well. This is a bad time for buying but i really have no choice to change some important components so i decided to go for a new system. As i said, it's a bad time for buying because it's kind of a transition period right now and for budget reasons. Intel will come out with it's new 64bits soon at sky high prices . According to what i have read, the performances are pretty good too. And I had AMD in the past and I liked it. I was hesitating with the P4 3.2GHZ. BTW, i have no problems with ATI 9800pro. I did not installed Catalyst 4.4. and 4.5 : i heard bad things about those. I stick with 4.3 for the moment.

My game runs beautifully on this card as long as I have Catalyst 3.8 installed. Anytime I want to play something else, I have to upgrade, but if I want to go back to KotOR, I have to switch back. Even the 4.2 and 4.7 drivers refuse to work well and most people say they're the best.

deathdisco
Athlon XP 2500+ 512MB PC2700 Epox 8RDA+ Maxtor 40GB ATA133 GeForce3 SBLive Unfortunately to run KOTOR stable I have to run the CPU & RAM at stock speeds. Otherwise I'd clock the CPU up to 3200+ & RAM at PC3200. I clock the vid card from 200 to 240mhz to play KOTOR.
