Shadows of the Empire

Does anyone know if anyone is attempting to make a Shadows of the Empire Mod for JA? If not, I would like to start the project. Ideally, it would contain all/most of the content from the game SOTE (PC & N64) but would also contain the plots from the SOTE the novel and comics.

The video game shows the perspective of Dash Rendar. The novel shows the perspective of Luke Skywalker, Leia, Chewie, and Lando. The comics mostly show the perspective of Darth Vader and Boba Fett. In order to have a truly righteous mod, one MUST[\b] include all of the elements. This is the one problem I had with the SOTE game in the first place.

I haven't heard of anyone making a SOTE mod for JA (or JO for that matter). It seems like a pretty good idea. Go for it if you want.

 

The story of SOTE has always been a bit confusing, as the novel, comic book and video game all tell different versions of the story, creating contradictory accounts of what happened. Your idea of taking elements of all three and combining them sounds pretty good. Of course, some events will have to be scrapped so other ones can happen, but that's inevitable.

 

Btw, if you want to have some Dash Rendar action for JO, you can check this out if you haven't already. It's an excellent SP experience starring everyone's favorite Han Solo wanna-be.

Oh yeah dude.

 

I just played SOTE for N64 again and beat it. I then read the book, and the comics. I want to use most of the content from the games, but also fill in the holes that are covered in the printed media.

 

There are a few plot discrepencies, and I'm not sure how I'm going to get the Snowspeeder tow cable to work. Right now, it's all research and development.

 

I plan on getting this project up and running full swing later in 2004.
