Video Clip Editing Questions

I know there was a video clip thread.. sometime ago. but this is a diff type of question.

 

First; I have the video. but i would like to Crop it. and make it smaller.(maybe for an avatar or whatnot.) how can i do this? free...

 

Second; Where can I upload it? free... (somewhere i can be a member or. whatever, so i can put other videos as well.)

 

Third; it has sound. but I don't want it to play the sound. if i use it as say an avatar or sig or something. it won't play sound right?

if you have a clip, then use TMPGEnc, it will allow you to convert/encode most formats, as well as alter frame size and start and end points of the clip

 

TMPGEnc is the golden standard of conversion and encoding programs, used by pros and newbies alike(I believe there now is an 'express' version to make it even easier !)

As for 'storing videos' it really depends on what size you're looking at..... even small mpegs at 300x255, 20 secs for example are b/w 1.5 to 4 mb, depending on how you compress them... I cant think of anywhere that will let you store them free indefinitely. If you just want to make gifs for an av, dont use a video file and convert it to a gif, you'll exceed filesize limit due to the needless frames involved. Use something like WinDVD and make some sequential screencaps, and then use them to make an av, or sig or whatever(in gif format).......
