you can get it at lucasfiles or pcgamemods, im still waitin for jk3files to post it. if this mod sees the light of day then you have permission to use it. if you want to make any changes to it at all please ask me first.

well since most people dont have XSI i compiled the millenium falcon from the source file that raven released that was in XSI so i could open it without any thing being messed up unlike importing it into max would. the turrets are controllable by other people but its still very buggy, i need a coder to help me out on that. once i get working correctly i can go on to making the outrider, its just that i can never find any good pics of it to make one thats accurate.

Things are really starting to come along. So far, we have pretty good development on the Prince Xizor's palace and Gall Spaceport maps.

 

We don't have any screenshots ready yet, but ought to have some soon.

Hey, i've gotten farther on Xizor's map, i made it a totally different way from the game, which may be a bad thing. I started copying the map in the lower levels, but as you get higher, it turns into more of an actual palace, since it is sposed to be a palace. I have things like Infantry an a bar & lounge, then the actual throne room. I want to give this file to jedispy so he can look at it, but its tooo big a file, anyone know how i can get this file too him? thanks

oh yeah, and also, i've been using all ingame textures, and all in-game models, so for any of you thatt can make nice textures and models to complement this map, that would be nice, if you want a .bsp file of this map let me know

id really like to see the map, id also like to talk to you about ideas ive had for the skyhook and other space maps. either catch me on msn or aim my msn is minilogoguy18@aol.com and my aim screeen name is just minilogoguy18. ive almost finished modelling the corellian corvette but i just need to know what exactly your usin it for. wheather its a map object or just a model that is projected into the background in the skybox. im gonna try and recode the at-at so that it is an npc like the at-st. ill probably have to get permission to use it since i really dont think its necesarry to make a whole new one.

about that, lol, I just found out how to use the ftp server, and posted it last night, you can find it at: htdocs/maps/Xizor_Palace

 

So anyone can download it. Its in .pk3 format, so just stick in in base, then load up SP, and type "map Xizor_palace". Im sure you all know how to do that, so take a look. And tell me all the bad things, dont be nice, lol

mkay i never felt any of the outrider models that ive made beofre were never accurate enough so i completely made a new one just for this mod. i just need to model the turrets and the landing gear and ill be done with the modelling. illl probably need a really good skinner to skin it cause i suck at that. ill try and get the same guy who did the star viper. here is a pic of it...

ill also make it into a map object and give it to all the mappers to use in the levels while its landed.

Don't sweat the changes...the reason for doing a MOD is not only to recreate, but improve on the original whenever/wherever necessary. The Palace to me always was my least favorite because it seems like the artists who created it didn't take advantage of all the design/texture tools that were available at the time, and really just slapped something together as a quickie level to make the game longer, or to fill a plot gap in the story.

 

More troops, a bar/cantina for them to hang out?...sounds good to me!!....Maybe you could add a library, gym, messhall, computer room, firing range kind of like the clones had in ep2, and the Stormtroopers had in the BOAM series of MOTS. I say throw in a puzzle to boot!! Just think of all of the changes the DF MOD Team made to level 3 (Anoat) and how good they were. While recapturing the essence of the original, the changes (IMHO) improved upon the overall experience.

Latest update. I have returned from my vacation. The Mrs. and I celebrated our 5th anniversary by going on a nice cruise down the CA coast into Mexico. Good time. So anyway I'm back now.

 

...and when I got back home, I realised that http://www.jedispy.com was down.:confused:

 

Right now I'm trying to get in contact with my web host and find out WTF is going on. I hope to get it back up and running soon. Sorry guys.

 

UPDATE:

O.k. http://www.jedispy.com is back up and running. I am going to start looking for a new host.

Just an update to the JA community. Yes SOTE MOD is going strong!! I plan on making a bigger update on my website, but this is all I have time for right now.

 

Business is booming on the SOTE MOD front. We're working on getting those maps done. At the same time, Minilogoguy18 and I are working with Razorace on trying to figure out how to do certain things in order to make this mod possible. Some very interesting things are coming out to say the least.

 

I am also editing the SOTE music right now. It will be an exciting soundtrack to say the least.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it's back up now. Hopefully we'll get moved to a new server soon.

 

I just wanted to inform the Lucasforums community that we're still up and running. We need lots more people (modellers, mappers, etc...) to help get this thing off the ground.

Well Jedispy?....combining the 2 teams makes sense, provided we can make signifigant progress on our own projects while sharing vital information, and cooperating without being too one sided toward a single outcome, while trying to achieve a common goal (man I hate it when I sound like an egghead). It works for Roush Racing...they have 5 out of the 10 teams in the "Chase for The NEXTEL Cup"
