I request some tips from the pro modelers

So I started the Homer Simpson model, and thus far I got a head, which is actually two halves (instance), each with mesh smooth. Now I ask where do I got from here. Should I unite the halves? Should I extrude the body from the neck or make it another model? Same for the hands and legs. Is it a good idea to make the body also two instances? I also want to add outline, when should I do that?

 

Also, can you give me a link to the JA skeleton?

Ignore the link name. this is one of the best tuit sites for low-poly modelling.

 

And you can use the root.xsi out of the modelling tools if you have that handy, for a its skeleton. Just ignore the bones that aren't used by JA.

Which bones are these? Also, isn't it a problem to use the JO skeleton?

Only if you wieght to the JO bones.

psykosith has a jk3 faq that has the boens that aren't used.

 

You don't HAVE to delete them. As long as you don't weight anything to them you'll be fine.

You can also use the skeleton in my animation file set. And what's better if you animate you'll have a model to go by.
