There is about one month til the game i have been obsessing over all summer is released in stores everywhere. In this final chapter of editing, Starwars B attlefront is packing me with all sorts of new questions, worries, and confusing wonders. This is a thread i have made to get all of these answered. All posts are wanted, but please, no spam.:atat:

I feel the same way, scavenger. I'm in a clan (hire on Demand) to try to have a better shot at organized playing, but what if when I just feel like playing online, outside of the clan, and try to have the same kind of teamplay with others? I get screwed. There is always gonna be at least one 'Hero' who is gona rush out from protecting the abse, and try to play a rambo. hes gonna ruin the experience. I just hope there arent too many annoying people who ruin the fun.

If it's anything like BF1942, you'll have sublime moments where everyone works together as a team, and frustrating, hair-pulling moments when you wish someone would replace your flesh-and-blood "team" with bots. That's the way it works, unfortunately.

No matter what, I think it will be a great game.

Kinda think of it, theres ALWAYS teamplay, no matter what

-Capturing flags together, others secure

-Covering fire

-Making groups, going on a hunt

-Manning the vehicles together

-Drop-offs by republic gunships (this WILL give spectacular moments, as long you'll be able to step in the cargo without entering the ship, and walk in it freely)

Indeed, the gunship is, agreeably the most well equipped fighter of them all. In fact, I beleive that the transport section is supposed to be walked into. But, my firmest worry for this game is that the gunship wont have a good passenger system layout. If you cant walk in, well.......I beleive in teamplay most of all in games like Battlefield1942. Fortunately, i was blessed with a descent team at all times. Anything you wanted was just a chat line away. Hopefully, it will be like that in Battlefront. You want someone in your vehicle to work with you, all you would have to do is ask. wanna capture a flag with someone? you got it. Another worry of mine is that you will have a good speacial class setup. Why would we want to play as a smuggler if he diddnt have any SPEACIAL abilities to use?

he will, its a mystery to us, but he wouldnt be a special unti for no reason. I'm guessing his bowcaster will pack a whallop for one, and the 'nade launcher should do some butt kicking. he seems to be a one man wrecking crew between those two and the time bomb.

Put all worries to rest and look forward to the game. I can't imagine anyone enjoying this game if all they do is worry. The game will be popular enough so finding a server that fits you won't be hard. Don't like your team? Just head to next server! Even the biggest of problems have the smallest solutions.

Why would we want to play as a smuggler if he didn't have any SPECIAL abilities to use?

Pandamic know what there doing, and balance won't be an issue, even if that's true, the game could always be patched. As part of the whole balance thing, the devs wouldn't just make a special some worthless troop, I'm sure there is more that meets the eye, like hidden strategies. Better stop there before I start rambling like always.

I had a sublime moment the other day in BF vietnam. For some reason i had three other guys going for the same base, we all gave each other covering fire, advancement when possible, and lookout when actually capturing the base. In all we took out about 15 of the opposing teams men using these tactics. that was probably the defining moment of the game for me. It's hard to do without team chat but it got done. I think it might be easier in battlefront because you have the team chat option and you can have guys follow you, cover you and basically be a brother in arms.

I wonder with the new management at Luca$art$, will they allow patches to be released a bit more liberally or will they remain Nazi$ like with the JA patches? I hope for the latter as games like this are not balanced out exactly like they should be. an example: BF vietnam, everyone used the M-60 until they patched the game and basically rendered the M-60 useless. Hopefully they'll patch it again so you can actually aim. But that's a whole other game, although current history dictates that these games need a few patches in order for them to play absolutely balanced teams.
