I know this is off the topic of this forum but I thought some people might want to here that Sid Meier is remking his 1987 classic "Pirates!"

 

If you like a swashbuckling adventure then this game is for you. Not a comedy in the way MI is.

 

In Pirates! you take the leading role of a Pirate Captain in the 17th century Caribbean amassing fortune and fame in an attempt to seize your rightful place as one of the most revered pirates in history. Test your skills as a sea captain exploring the high seas. Overtake the enemy and seize valuable booty. This game should be brilliant. Its the original Pirates! but better and with swordfighting that actually works. I am really looking forward to this.

I think a lot of us have been looking forward to this one.

It makes me glad to see some people are looking forward to this. Sid Meier stole at least a year of my life over the years. There is just something so addictive in his games. I love Alpha Centauri but wasn't to impressed with the latest Civ. He is making Civ 4 and is promising big changes.

For me, Civ2 is the definitive Civ, I'm just so used to it, I couldn't get used to the way the new one worked, be it easy to get used to or not, I just like the Civ 2 gameplay better.
