I was wonderin what most people have for a connection, because i would think this takes a big part in the lag. Because my ping is normally around 100 at a adverage and it still lags in a city.

Not so much the connections to people, alot of other things can lag up a game beside connection, anything from your software, to hardware, to ISP, to a node in Alaska, to the SWG servers.

well i just thought that because on most internet games it has to do with peoples connections. But i guess this game isnt like most. Its a billion times better!

Well, personally, I'm getting pretty angry. I have a Cable, 1024 mbs of RAM, 2.4 gig processor, a 64 mb GeForce4 video card, and I defrag and clean my computer out regularly. I never had problems til just before Pub10. Now, at random times in cities, my ping skyrockets to 900+, my fps drops 1, and I can barely play. It doesn't do it in Coronet, surprisingly. The two places that it happens to me are the MO on Dant and Tyrena. So, the fact that I lag in Tyrena shows that it isn't the massive amount of people in one spot. It's the point that SOE's servers are starting to suck.

ya that happend to me in mos eisely durin a sand storm all of a suddon my ping went to 3000, and ive got a dsl connection.

Cable. The only broadband connection. DSL has too many issues in my area, besides cable is MUCH faster and more stable.

true true but in my area the cable users sometimes wont be able to get on, because the cable connection wont let them or somethin.

Cable. Cannot get DSL in my area and I don't miss it one bit. Many of my friends have DSL and lament about the problems constantly.

DSL, from time to time my ping shoots up to like 3k, but it's usually around 70-90.
