JediCrow
...but I had to do a reformat and now I can't get my stupid sound card to work. Oh well, good thing I have an Xbox and a PS2. Looks like it's the Xbox version for me... Now I have to get Live, heh. Was going to sooner or later anyway with DOA Ultimate and MK comin out with Live play. On a related note (rather than starting a new topic heheh), is this game gonna come with Live like some others do? I might already have it on my Xbox, but I'm not sure and I'm at work so I can't check.
Alegis
it's easy to fix those things. How about updating your OS. Install your drivers, mine wouldnt work as well after i reformatted until i downloaded the latest CMI (c-media) drivers. Doesnt your sound card have some software that came with your pc? My current computer is a real Frankenstein's monster, hehe. I don't have any of the original installation stuff. I had to reformat using software that came with an earlier computer of mine. I tried reinstalling the drivers from another SB Live CD tohugh, as well as plugging the card into a different slot, getting the drivers off the web, everything... How do I do the CMI thing? Thanks for the quick reply, btw.
Cyclone7
This is a very deceptive post. From the title sounds like you have something against the game, when in actuality it is your own personal issues at hand. Please try not to come off so negative next time. Master William
I was gonna get it for PC as well, but my PC isn't exactly top-notch and I do not at all afford to upgrade, so I'm going Xbox which I actually find to be the better choice
JediCrow
After a few other considerations, I think the better choice for me would be Xbox as well. That way I'll get to play online still, but also with my brother split screen. And I know it'll run on what I have.
JediCrow
Ugh, I'm now torn again. I got my sound workin, and I'm sure my comp will be able to run it on probably medium settings, and I'd rather play with a keybaord and trackball. But if I get it for Xbox, I'll still be able to play online and I'll also be able to play against my brother. I'd get both but that would judt be crazy. Why should I spend $100 on one game? Maybe I'll buy one and umm...borrow....the other....

But I think I will buy the PC version, and get the Xbox one on my Gamepass, then if it's THAT cool playing split screen with my brother, eventually buy it. Seriously, though, control is a major concern of mine and I've always prefered the PC for FPS and similar controlling games.
Master William
Yea, your choice man, I'm just saying Xbox cause that's what I like more when it comes to gaming. I like sitting in a couch more than sitting here and breaking my back... this PC has caused me a lot of problems with my back

Biggest thing you gotta look at...is it you want 12 or so players to play with online...or 32 to 64 players. (on organized servers). For me..I like real war...lots of players, but well organized. 12 would just be too little for such big maps. You'd spend most of your time walking instead of shooting. It's up to you which you prefer.

HaVoK-G2
Keyboard + Mouse > Controller for FPS's IMHO But really, Id just be patient and wait for the PC Demo if your concerned about it running on your computer. (Hopefully it will be out soon?) And maybe pick up the Xbox demo to hold you over? Or wait.. you might be tempted because the game will be staring you in the face around the 21st when (if) you go to pick up SW DVD Set. Also, I really hope the PC community for Battlefront will keep the game going long after people are tired of it on consoles. (Pending on if they release some sort of a SDK or GDK, I know theres a built in map editor that ive read about around here, and if not and theres enough interest, im sure someone will write their own tools ) Good luck.
