excellent work!!! i had a feeling you'd get it done. :D :D

 

ok, the colors look OK, but not exact. umm, i'm not getting a very good view of the armor with the pics you shot, so i can't tell too awfully well. its not the lighting or the angles, its just that the picture is too small to show much detail.

 

just a suggestion: could you send me some pics using the highest possible resolution in the game??? even if you get a resolution with a really low framerate, it will only make for a better screenshot.

 

you doin some excellent work, so keep it up!!!

Edit: i don't know if this is too late or not, but for the symbol on his left shoulder, check out the link in my signature. :D

Thanks. As you requested here you have new pics, this time with the helmet and a another pic with a Jango?Boba face i'm doing. Tell me your thoughts. I want to make the mod as accurate as possible.

I'll try it. BTW Achiles provided me some help to finish the mod and i'm gona test it soon. before releasing i'd like some ideas for:

Well to me, the description depends on the name and place you find it really, so you should think those through first.

 

Properties, I'm not to sure about, I'll have to watch the OT and see what Boba does there, that's a good way to base the properties. :D

 

As for location, depending on how powerful it ends up being, I would recommend Sherruk's corpse, a simple UTC edit, or, one of my favorite places to spawn items, somewhere in the Hrakert Rift. :D You would need a good description to pull that one off, but it'd be cool. :lol: As for scripting, I'm getting a little better so I could help to some degree with item spawning... :D

Its based in Orsan Boba helmet. But its a bit diferent. I scaled it down also. Unfortunatelly this size is not going to work for every PC head, but i tested it with caucasian #1, asian #5, Carth and Canderous.

I thought of a way to avoid that scaling issue, sort of. What if you added the helmet model as a new head, IE a new line in appearance.2da, give it the same body models as the PC, and then, make the helmet give a disguise property to said model, so instead of putting the model over your PC's head, it replaces it. :D

Good idea, but i don't know how to do make this disguise trick. Never used it.

 

Also what should i put in that appearence.2da and maybe heads.2da line?

ok, as far as i can tell, it is one of the most accurate skins of boba fett that i've seen in quite a while. considering that this is also a reskin for kotor, you've done some really excellent work. now, for armor stats, i have a few suggestions.

 

first, boba's armor mostly served its purpose as a last line of defense to boba's own abilities. unlike most people would think, boba was a hunter. hunters DO NOT run in with guns blazing. to do so would mean almost instant death in some cases. instead, boba did what any sensible hunter would do: use whatever means neccessary to get the job done. usually this means using stealth and trickery.

 

now, with that out of the way, i would suggest making boba's armor a medium armor with moderate benefits to stealth and demolitions. stealth should be self-explanatory. demolitions is because it is the only way to set traps in kotor. other benefits might include: increased awareness, sneak attack feats, and minor damage resistance to cold, electrical, physical, and energy.

 

for the helmet, increased awareness, defense, and sniper shot feats.

 

that should just about do it. oh, and btw, i forgot to tell ya that i like the face as well. :p well, good luck to ya!!!! :D :D :D :D

Thanks, but i'm not completely satisfied with the result. This armor is actually a remodel of the soldier outfit were i've removed pockets and the strap linking the chest and the backpack. The backpack is posing for the jetpack. I tried to mess with but its so integrated in the torso that changes would result impredictable.

 

A big problem with the soldier texture are the pockets. They are in separeted positions and in a larger scale than the rest of the armor. This is causing edges reflexes in the upper torso. At least i managed to disguise it in the belly plate. Also the pockets are located in a transition region between plate and cloth. It took me ages just to place it right.:(

 

But i'll release anyway after another shot to improve the overall look.

 

And for the helmet. I don't know if i can release it in the pack since its a rework over Orsan's model and i don't have any idea how to ask permission for it (my telephatics can reach russia, but not translate his toughts :p:anvil: (bad joke). If you know how contact him and ask him for me.

from studying the screens, you can BARELY even get a hint that you tried to disguise the pockets. for what its worth, don't worry about it too much. i know that God is in the details, but in this case, it is WAY too much to be concerned with. :D :D :D

 

as for contacting orsan, umm, i think you can get his e-mail address from one of his mods' readme's. hope that helps. :D :D

Well if you can get Orsan's permission to use this modified helmet, do 3 things.

 

Scale it to the exact size you want it.

 

PM me.

 

I'll send you my email address and you can send it to me, I'll do the head trick if you'd like. (Catch me on a weekend or else wait a long time :D)

Ok the mod is ready for release. There are some small set backs though:

 

1. It changes the soldier clothes geometry, flating chest pockets;

2. It'll only work for male player characters, since its based in the male "B" type model ("A" is the underwear, "B" clothes, and so on). If you try to put it in npc it'll look like their original clothes. It can be fixed, editing appearence.2da, although it will switch npcs clothes for soldiers ones.

 

I would like some feedback about item 2.

 

BTW, i have set the properties sugested by stinghers. Thanks for the colaboration man.:)
