toms
http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/09/15/2150229 "Researchers at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) recently found that beer has the same positive qualities that wine has previously been found to have. The media release quotes professor John Trevithick, 'We were very surprised one drink of beer or stout contributed an equal amount of antioxidant benefit as wine, especially since red wine contains about 20 times the amount of polyphenols as beer.' " heh heh!!! Although if you go up to 2 bottle of beer a night there is little extra benefit, and 3 bottles a night has a negative impact. Also, they refer to most of the benefit coming from tannins from the wood casks, and ii'm not sure how many modern lagers are actually brewed in wood anymore... maybe you need to switch to real ale. (oh, and beer does have a lot more calories, so maybe go for a vodka and diet coke a night? ;-) )

wassup
The key word here is moderation. Sorry to disappoint you, but drinking a pack of beer in one sitting will do you more harm than good.
