Falcon IceHole
Cross posted from Lucasforums: The dreaded Password Incorrect or Server Full errors when connecting to servers through Gamespy! I have a possible solution to this, particularly when joining games through Gamespy. I was gonna hold off on posting until I could verify with a few more people. But might as well get more people to tryt. Here it is: 1) Go into the game, and at the gamespy login use your gamespy account email and passord. 2) Change your NICKNAME to something else. 3) Click CREATE 4) Make sure you have SAVE ALL selected. 4) Login, then back out, and login again to make sure it is still set the same. 5) Exit the game, and try joining a server from Gamespy, and it should now work. It appears the problem is a conflict between your gamespy account being logged in twice, once with Gamespy and once with the SWBF. The solution is to create another profile under the same account (dictified by your email and password, NOT the nickname). Just change your nickname leaving all the other info the same, then click CREATE and it will create another profile under the same account. You can verify this: If you go to and login your account, it will then say "You have multiple profiles which one do you want to use?". No biggy, use one for Gamespy and one for SWBF. I have my Gamespy profile set with all my info, and the SWBF profile is basically blank and only used ingame. It just means you need to use a different nickname in game. If this works for you, let us know here.

Iceman_IX
Thanks but I really have no intention of playing via the Gamespy browser. It's garbage :/
[RNGD]Tyrant
gamespy sucks...but unfortunately the ingame browser blows so its a tough call...for now the GS one is only slightly less lame
Falcon IceHole
Yeah, Gamespy blows, I am a die-hard ASE user. But at least gamespy refreshes the servers much faster, and you can add favorites. Unfortunately, I still keep running into the server full error. It must have fluke worked for me when I tested this, as it still occasionally works but more often doesn't. It does seem to get rid of the wrong password error for servers that are not locked. Perhaps the full server issue is a separate problem and in the code of the game. I know Ive run into it even when using the ingame browser. But before I started messingh around with my accounts, I rarely if ever had a problem joining servers through gamespy. I am going to try logging into gamespy with the different profile like hatelull did, see if that helps. I also noticed that gamespy tended to overwrite the settings in SWBF, even though you created and made sure it saved under the different nickname. It wants to send your current nickname settings from gamespy to the game. So, I used some of the command line parameters from another post here, and set them in options/games/advanced options setting in gamespy to look like this: +name [CoFR]Falconise +email falcon.icehole@gmail.com +ppass yourpasswordhere. I now have full control over what account gamespy sets for the game, and it appears to work perfectly. Yet I still get server full messages. Maybe 1 of every 5 tries I can connect, otherwise I get the error. But I haven't had the bad password error ever since.
