So, I just tried playing MP. It was fun until Norton Internet Security started poping up telling me that there servers trying to access my cpu. Well I tracked one of them and it turned out to a GameSpy server. I dont have GameSpy, dont want it either. Is there any other way getting it to stop bothering me without truning off NIS? Thanks,

That's because game developers are becoming increasingly reliant on a third party to make their multiplayer browser. I much prefer in-game browsers that are made by the company itself.

Me, I prefer 3rd party server browsers.

It beats the HECK out of all in-game browsers and all other 3rd party browsers including GameSpy, IMHO.

 

I'm a super-paranoid security/privacy freak too. This app is absolutely fantastic.

I take it there's no way to tell NIS to "remember" your answer to allow a particular service access?? Might be worth looking into..

I wouldnt mind using a 3rd party program. But, I would rather not pay for one either. I guess I wll have to deal until Qtracker gets updated.

The trial of ASE is pretty much fully functional. I still use it. It never runs out.

 

If they had PayPal, I'd buy it in a heartbeat though.
