engelhardt
Ahoy! I have a problem with MI2. On booty island, everytime the background music plays I get the message "MEMORY LOW - SWAPPING DATA TO DISK". All right, that is not unusual, as I got this message before, but in that case the game is slowing down significantly, almost impossible to continue playing. My PC, though not the fastest (200 MHz, 32 MB RAM, Win 98), should be able to run the game without problems. Who can help me out?
Alien426
I think that's mainly a problem of the operating system/PC system. What are your current swap file settings? How many programs are you running in the background? Would you consider starting into DOS and running from there?
engelhardt
Well...firstly, I don't exactly know what 'swap file settings' means, sorry Could you explain it please? Secondly, I'm already running the game under MS-DOS, otherwise I had no sound at all, and I'm running no other program in the background.
Alien426
Joshi
Use the program ScummVM Q+E on this site to run the game in Windows (as apose to MS-DOS) and all shoulrd be right with the world.
engelhardt
Regarding SCUMMVM: I already tried this but couldn't use my savegames made while playing 'real' MI2. So if there is another way to solve this problem without SUMMVM I would take this chance, after all, the game is working perfectly in any other place.
