where were you when you got the news of Spetember 11th? I was in the pub, and it was on the telly. I didnt take much notice at first but I looked up at the TV again about ten minutes later and it was still on and I said to a friend "This films a bit crap isnt it?" we took a closer look, and it was a feeling of absolute astonishment and horror that come over me when my mate arrived at the same conclusion i did - "Holy ****, its for real"

 

another friend of mine was watchin TV when the BBC made the original newsflash, and he actually has a tape of it somewhere cos he was recording whatever was on at the time for some reason. Ive not seen it but im going to at christmas when i go home from Uni, apparently it just cuts to an absolute pitch black screen with "Live, New York City" in the corner.

great, a feel good thread

 

my gf saw it on the early morning news. she woke me up to tell me about it. It was quite shocking. My main three thoughts about the incident which still resound in my mind to this day

 

1. those poor ppl caught in the middle

2. dammit, those stoopid saudis have given a sh*thead like GW Bush a wonderful reason to justify making a play on Iraqs oil.....I wonder how long it will take .....

3. dammit, being a muslim in a country full of crackers isnt going to be fun......(I am a muslim, living in australia)
