Does anyone know from where did he get trained? I always wondered that? I mean at the time we are introduced to him he is a mere senator within the Republic Senate. Was his "Master's lair once on Naboo? Just a thought
Konar
Someone called Darth Plageus trained him I believe, who he killed, as naturally all Sith kill their masters. - God alone knows where he came from or where that training took place.

I regret to inform you that this bit of info comes from SuperShadow.com and thus is not to be trusted (he's not a reputable source, not even for "fanon" since the stuff is what he makes up himself). So this Darth Plageus is just as "canon" as the Penari Lightsaber or Nebar Foxis (in other words, not canon at all), sorry... I have a feeling that Palpatine's Master, like Anakin's real father (if one assumes he wasn't really "concieved by the Midichlorians" as Qui Gon speculates in TPM) and Yoda's species & original homeworld will simply remain a mystery so long as Lucas has anything to say about it. The rest is just fan speculation/fiction.
clonearcman
Why can't he have become what he is himself? Juhani (more KOTOR) convinced herself she would become jedi when she was young. True she was found and brought into the order but she did convince herself to become jedi.
