:USA:Hefe(I)
Hi everyone, Ok I know there's prolly a tut some where around on these forums on to do this but I am unable to find it:( I managed to get a hilt in-game as a new item, but when I go to the upgrade bench and select it it vanishes? I thought I saw some where this involves a 2da thingy but I could be wrong? And do I have to create a new crystal as well*sigh* Anyhow thanks in advance for any help:) :USA:Hefe(I)
ChAiNz.2da
Achilles has made a wonderful tutorial on the saber construction (upgradeable). Download the file in this thread: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=143456 I made my first saber using it,... who am I kidding...I still use it
Mav
For a quick answer: 1. yes it does require the 2da file: upcrystals.2da 2. yes you will need to make a new crystal, but it is really fast. 3. for the detail on how to do it, use achilles tutorials they are good. :USA:Hefe(I)
Ok maybe I'm blind but: *Optional* upcrsystals.2da <bifs/2da.bif/upcrystals> - This property table is used to make lightsabers upgradeable in-game. Although optional it is highly recommended that select this option. More details will be available later in this tutorial I see no where later in the tutorial where the 2da file is mentioned? And I looked through the others and didnt see anything as well? Thank for the help guys:)

You can find it in the stickies or by using the search function.
Mav
I do remember making one, I'll try and find it. I thought that you included an upgradeable saber tutorial though Achilles, oops
:USA:Hefe(I)
Thanks again for the help:) I figured it out finally lol! The mistake I was making was, in the upcrystl.2da I didn't realize that it wanted the uti's for the crystal and the saber lol. So now I can get on with modelling and not worry about other stuff(that is until I want to place them in-game) So now I can release a hilt pack! Woot! Thanks again everyone for the help and quick replys! LOL for any other mod community I've worked in you'd wait days if at all to get any help if you got any at all! the Kotor mod community rocks!!! Mav
I must say that besides from the occasional drifter and spammer this community is probably the best I've seen on the web, hardly any spam and nobody ever really swears or anything like that, but anyway on topic, I'll try and find my old tutorial if not I'll write a new one. Mav
Link to my OLD Tutorial: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=128735&highlight=Upgradeable I may decide to write a new tutorial with pictures and everything, but I may not because TSL is right around the corner. We try to save our 'cursing' energy for when it's modding time. It's no good when you're modding and you've used your swear word quota for the day ... hehe I agree 100% however about this being the best forum around. Probably why I've seemed to take root here nowadays (that'll teach you Holowan for being so good ). I hardly ever visit the 'other' forums now that I've found this Community, and when TSL for PC is released...hold onto your seat and watch the Community's gears start cranking. It's definitely going to be a sight worth seeing (and staying around for)

Please do write that tutorial if your inclined. Tis true TSL is only a few days off But that does not mean everyone will stop modding KotOR. Thanks again everyone for the help and quick replys! We have had a few Dark moments, But even before Holowan had Active moderators I was amazed by the positive vibe of these forums. @:USA:Hefe(I) I'm glad you got it working and its great to see so many new modders right before TSL comes out. Good luck with your Saber Pack.
