K_Kinnison
Becasue he put a lot of time in programming it, and it is by far the best editor out there for missions (I assume your talking about Troy's AlliED) if you dont want to pay him.. just use the free version
Gugeyewalker
I agree! I got it about a year ago and its well worth it. Gugeyewalker's Pirate Outpost
BattleDog
Its only ten dollars, and its always being updated, he could not do it at all you know.
Admiral Odin
For all the time he put into it don't you think it right that he get something for the ful version. Be happy he didn't program in a little timer where you can only open the free version so many times. Last time I checked nobody had a gun to your head saying you had to pay for it, or that you couldn't use a different mission editor. ------------------ "Dulce bellum inexpertis." They built it and published it. You don't Have to import older missions you know. Bad form man!!

Guest chris
May I suggest you try looking at Darksaber's OPT Station at http://www.darksaber.freeserve.co.uk/ . On the left hand side, scroll down and you'll find the words "File Archive". Under that heading click on "Mission Editors" for a list of all available mission editors. AlliED is the only one that can do correct briefings, however. New Horizons does briefings, but they are corrupted and do not work sometimes. The development of that was cut off about a year and a half ago. ------------------ :-P XvT Productions Chat on #xvt_productions on the Holonet! BattleDog
Thats odd, because some of the best briefins come from NH. Can you select mission craft and do the thing where it displays a craft with its stats in AlliED? ------------------

Keyan Farlander
I don't know... It seems strange to me that he can get away with charging for a program that uses a proprietary file format. Am I nuts or isn't that illegal?
Nute Gunray
I think he's just charging for the GUI. I THINK that's what it is. I do remember from reading the license that it seemed like it was flying neatly through some kind of legal loophole.
