TSL: Editing force power granted on levelling

I find that force powers are acquired too fast on levelling. Feats a tad bit too. So I'd like to change the "learning curve", i.e. grant less often powers and feats. Actually I'd also like to change the feats/powers automatically granted at the start and on some levels. I've looked into gamefiles, ressources over the internet, but so far I haven't found how to. I saw references to functions to get a spell, but no index of which powers/feats aregranted to each class according to the level.

Sorry if I missed any obvious info. Any help appreciated.

(Hoping it is possible to do).

edit: of course it is about TSL

The .2da's you want to edit are classpowergain.2da and featgain.2da. I think you'll find them relatively straightforward: Each column represents a class and each row represents a level. The values are how many powers or feats you get when you achieve a new level.

If you can't figure out what those column names mean in those .2da's, you can take a peek at classes.2da for the definition in the spellgaintable and featgaintable columns.

The file I think you want to look at for spells is 'classpowergain.2da' and 'spells.2da' sumthin like that. For feats its 'featgain.2da' or 'feats.2da' I think. Not at my home computer so can't say 100% but it's close to those. Scope those out and the columns in there should be pretty self explanatory. I modified both of these files as well, but I give all characters 2 spells per lvl gain. What can I say, I'm a spell caster at heart;). I modified the feats to give me access to all feats and removed their lvl restriction. Didn't like it that much so I took it out of my override. still have the spell change one tho.

EDIT

heh, what he said. beat me to the click :D

Hmm...if Consulars don't gain feats at the same rate as Sentinel or skills at the same rate as Guardians, then I would probably have to agree.

Yeah, quite different experiences, my feeling is that we aren't forced enough to make choices. My first game is with a consular/master jedi and i have too much powers and feats, maybe even skills. Don't know how to spend my points on upgrade. So I'll fiddle around with these files for my second game.

Thanks for putting me on tracks; I'll experiment and see how the game thurns this week-end.
