Malivolus
Maybe this is the wrong place to post, if it is so mods please move this to appropriate place. I used Kotor tool to extract mdl and mdx files, at first I tried to extract the model with all options checked (Extract animations, convert skin to trimesh), loaded up MDLOps and tried to convert model to asci, it stopped with error, then I unchecked Export animations, still no go, tried unchecking conversion of skin - same result Tk::Error: Modification of non-creatable array value attempted, subscript -5 at /PerlApp/MDLOpsM.pm line 667. Tk callback for .button Tk::__ANON__ at /PerlApp/Tk.pm line 247 Tk::Button::butUp at /PerlApp/Tk/Button.pm line 111 <ButtonRelease-1> (command bound to event) I also tried some item models and Kotor tool exported them in asci mode, but NWMax refuses to load them with error: Unable to convert: undefined to type: Float What am I doing wrong P.S. the file was Atris model p_atrisbb.mdl
Leviathan
Actually, SW : KotOR II's models are not supported by MDLOps, because they do not use the same "structure" (Vertices, etc...) as the original title, SW : KotOR.
90SK
The model format is different in TSL, so I don't think it will work. Edit: YIPE! You beat me too it Leviathan.

cchargin
Hello, Yes, MDLOps does not support Kotor 2... yet. I have finished the game and now I am going to get to work on the model format. So poke an eye out. No, wait that's supposed to be keep an eye out. Wait, that still sounds gruesome. Uh, just stick around. Wait, that... Oh never mind, just keep visiting this forum. Malivolus
Huuuuuuge thanks goes to cchargin But now i have another problem, I used Atris model as a base, did my modifications, exported it, but every time i try to use the model in game kotor2 crashes Maybe the problem is that i exported model with animations, so do i need to export only geom without animation and then apply it to the existing robe model or I did something wrong with the model? P.S. I'm a n00b with modeling so if i sound dumb, sorry

Malivolus
Thanks T7, I swear that tutorial on SUCCESSFUL SKIN MESH EDIT wasnt there last time i looked, must be becouse of the eye i poked out Ugh, looks like either I'm completely dumb or I am doing it completely wrong, I got the model right and it works in the game, except, as I expected it doesnt have any animations and the characters head is totaly misplaced, looks funny, but that was not exactly what i was aiming for So how would i be able to supply this model with animations? I tried MDLOps replacer, but it does not allow to replace all meshes.

Malivolus
Ok, I got my model working (Thanks goes to Cloud333) and now I want to add it properly to game. I checked out T7's tutorial on adding custom armors to the game, but how could I add a new model to the game? If understand correctly that would involve creating a new column in appearance.2da and then pointing Body Variation in uti file to the index of this new column? If so, how would I be able to add the column (I could export it to xml then edit the file and import using KT, but given the number or rows thats quite a lot of work)? So I wanted to ask - is there some easier way to add it to the game?
