Ok, I did a cursory scan of the thead and didn't see this anywhere else, so here it goes.

 

This one's for the scripters out there:

 

Could someone pretty please script k_inc_force so that the Force Forms stack? Here's how they currently work:

 

Force Channel:

FP Regeneration: +50% (non-combat)

Force Power Damage: +3

Saves vs. Force Powers: +2

 

Force Potency:

Force Power Damage: +30%

Force Power Cost: +20%

 

Force Affinity:

FP regeneration during combat

 

Force Mastery:

Force Power Duration: +50%

Opponents' Saves vs. Force Powers: -2

Saves vs. Force Powers: -4

FP Cost: +20%

 

Not bad, but considering the fact that NPCs become pretty Force resistant later on in the game (at least with my hardcore mod installed), I thought it might make sense to help the hardline Force classes out. Here's what I'm thinking:

 

Force Channel:

Considering my comfort level with scripts and the percieved complexity of what I've envisioned, there is no way I could take this on at this time. Anyone willing to take this on, would have my undying gratitude. Unfortunately, that doesn't buy much, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Okay here is what I think would make a fantastic mod. A romance mod that makes the romance between Adon and the Exile or the other kind with the guy a lot bigger. Because I konw that for girls, we got jiped in Kotor 1 but kotor 2 was just horrible for romance. If someone could just extend the dialog with Adon and the dialog with the handmaiden to have more entries for romance. Its kind of a dissapointment not having that there.

Are there any mods that replace some KOTOR 1 faces with KOTOR 2 faces? I don't have a screenshot or anything, but the blond-short haired caucasian from TSL would be a nice replacement for it's counterpart (they look alike save for the hair and the sharper textures on the TSL version) if anyone could do it. Thanks if you can.

 

This won't happen. Please read the first post in this thread and forum rule # 14 concerning porting material from one game to another.

Yep, I am sure this idea has crossed many minds. Well, the problem is that there are no voiceovers to use. Don't know about you, in this kind of mod, sound will matter a lot. It's no fun reading silent text.

On the other hand, I think many people will be surprised to find out that Handmaiden and Atton prefer to speak in Twilek language when in love. :D :D

Did a search for it, and didn't find anything, so I guess it hasn't been posted in here yet...

 

Would someone be willing to write up a mod that allows Visas to become a prestige class? Pretty much on the same terms the Exile does; level 15 with a LS/DS under 25 or over 75.

 

I think she'd be that much better as a Sith Assassin :thumbsup:

 

It'd be much appreciated if someone could put to that together, thanks :cool:

How about Status classes or another name but idea is Prestige Class (15) then Status Class at level (20-22)

Status Classes (What you were before you get some of the other if you combo)

With augmented 2-3 atttibutes, +3 each perhaps, + augmented force pwrs, perhaps 2-3 per class, increased duration, protection, etc.

 

Jedi Vanguard

Jedi Master/Jedi Weapon Master combo

+force points, +feats, +attributes for Vanguard Status class

 

Jedi Elite

Jedi Weapon/Jedi Watchmen combo

+fp, +feats, +skills, +attributes

 

Master Jedi Master

Jedi Master/Jedi Watchman combo

 

Elite Jedi Master

Jedi Master + More Jedi Master

+fp, augmented Force PWRs, increase in force channel/focus, +attrib (wis) (char)

 

Elite Weapon Master

Weapon Master + More Weapon Master

+fp, +str, +con, augmented force pwrs, increase duration in MS, resist ENG, pain

 

Elite Jedi Watchman

Jedi Watchman + More Jedi Watchman

 

Sith Vanguard

Sith Lord/Sith Marauder Combo

 

Sith Elite

Sith Marauder/Sith Assasin combo

 

Master Sith Lord

Sith Lord/Sith Assassin combo

 

Elite Sith Lord

Sith Lord + More Sith Lord

I attempt to further clarify idea of new classes:

 

Sith Vanguard

Sith Lord/Sith Marauder Combo

 

One could either start as a:

1) Jedi counselor/guardian/sentinel then prestige sith marauder or sith lord then status sith lord or sith marauder for sith vanguard

 

The only qualification is you have to be either a sith lord or a sith marauder as prestige first so if you are a sith lord [prestige] you become a sith marauder [status] which is the combo for [sith Vanguard] or if you are a sith marauder [prestige] you become a sith lord [status], which is also the combo for Sith Vanguard.

 

Sith Vanguard

Sith Lord/Sith Marauder Combo

 

Start as guardian/sentinel/counselor then prestige either sith marauder or sith lord

then status either sith maurader or sith lord.

 

Why?

 

Guardian/sentinel/counselor prestige sith marauder, with prestige sith marauder your choices are:

1) status sith lord for Sith Vanguard or

2) status sith assassin for Sith Elite or

3) status sith marauder for Elite Sith Marauder

 

or guardian/sentinel/counselor prestige sith lord, with prestige sith lord your choices are:

1) status sith marauder for Sith Vanguard

2) status sith assassin for Master Sith Lord

3) status sith lord for Master Sith Lord

 

Differences: Starting with Status level 22

Status Sith Marauder +3 str, +3 con, +20 fp + All prestige feats of new class it becomes new class

Feat +1 per level

Powers +1 per level (original Sith mar pwr gain)

 

Status Sith Assassin +3 dex, +3 Int +30 fp + All prestige feats of new class it becomes new class

Feat +1 every other level

Powers +1 per level (Sith assas pwr gain)

 

Status Sith Lord +3 Wis, +3 Char +50 fp All prestige feats of new class it becomes new class

Feat +1 every other level

Power gain (Sith lord pwr gain)

 

So example of Sith Vanguard: Sith Lord/Sith Marauder Combo would be:

 

Start as jedi guardian/sentenial/conselor

Need to prestige either Sith Lord or Sith Marauder then must status Sith Lord or Sith Marauder.

 

Lvl 1-15 guardian/sentenial/counselor

Then must prestige either sith lord or sith marauder for levels 16-22 then either sith lord or sith marauder for status starting at level 22.

 

Lets say you do guardian to level 15 so you get all guardian feats

Then you prestige sith marauder you get marauder feats for 7 levels as usual

Superior weapon Focus

Increased damage

Ignore Pain

Fury

 

Then must status Sith Lord to become Sith Vanguard:

Which would give you:

+3 Wis, +3 Char +50 fp

All prestige feats of new class it becomes new class:

Dark Side Corruption, Crush Opposition, Knight Sense

Feat +1 every other level

Power gain (Sith Lord pwr gain)

 

What is difference between:

Vanilla Sith Marauder 22+ to 28 or so

Sith Marauder to Sith Lord:Sith Vanguard

Sith Lord to Sith Marauder:Sith Vanguard

Elite Sith Marauder

 

Approx lvl 28

Vanilla Sith Marauder would be 13 levels Sith Marauder with Ignore pain III, Master Fury, Some points in superior weapon focus lightsabre, superior weapon focus 2 hand

 

Sith Marauder to Sith Lord:Sith Vanguard

Sith Marauder 7 levels, Status Sith Lord 6 levels with both Sith Marauder and Sith Lord prestige feats up to their respective level

+3 Wis, +3 Char +50 fp All prestige feats of new class it becomes new class

Feat +1 every other level

Power gain (Sith lord pwr gain)

 

 

Sith Lord to Sith Marauder: Sith Vanguard

Sith Lord 7 levels, status Sith Marauder 6 levels “”

-->actually this was a exercise on my part to try to understand, extrapolate on why for example D2 has so many variations and replayability and Kotor does not.

 

Take a Barb in D2 there must be 7+ viable builds for that class with 4 stats and many skills and many items. For K1and2 I am trying to see more or at least figure out why I see less.

 

In K2 there is hardly reason not just to go counselor then guardian then call it a day.

 

I would like to see a str based build jedi, a vitality based/defense build, a crazy dex/defense build and other builds like high force pwr builds. I dont know the answer. Maybe beancounter will force the issue with his mod?

We can currently learn Lightsaber forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7. Form 6 is in the manual, but as far as I know, you can't get it in the game ???

 

I'd like some modder to correct that, script it in game, so that maybe you learn form 6 from Kreia. Perhaps there is still code for it in the scripts already in the game and such.

 

It'd also be kinda cool if some EU buff (I'm not one, I stick to the video games and the movies, never read the books or played the card games) who knows what the other 4 forms are could add those to the game somehow. They can be learned from hidden Jedi Holocrons. The EU person would probably know the names of the forms, and what properties they'd realistically have.

 

From what I know:

 

Obi-Wan Kenobi uses Form III (for defense and blaster deflection)

 

Anakin/Vader use Form V (good blaster deflection, but more aggressive than Form III, and Obi-Wan)

 

Mace Windu uses Form VII

(Very aggressive and focused on 1 target)

 

Yoda uses Form IV

(Very aggressive and fast, focused on 1 target)

 

Count Dooku uses Form II

(Designed to fight others who wield lightsabers)

 

I believe Luke also does Form V, learning some of Form III from Obi-Wan and forced to make it more aggressive by confrontations with Vader.

 

Qui-Gon Jinn I expect is a Form VI user, since he's more focused on balance and wholeness and diplomacy, than fighting with a lightsaber. (He's a counselor afterall.) Therefore I'd see Form VI as being something learned by Counselors

from Kreia, who's a counselor and, being neutral [spoiler: for most of the game anyway.] would preach balance in all things.

 

The other 4 forms mentioned in snippits while the game is loading I know nothing about. I have a hunch that they're focused on double saber and dual lightsaber wielding. IE I think Darth Maul's style (I see some of IV in it, and some of VII, but it's also very defensive with some form III elements especially when his double saber gets cut in half. Watch how he manuvers with his body fully behind the lightsaber so that it shields him completely) should be in there as a double saber form. Perhaps 2 double saber and 2 dual saber forms.

 

The double saber forms would be 1 offensive, good against 1 target wielding a lightsaber, not good against blasters, and 1 defensive, good against multiple lightsaber/melee wielders, not as good against 1 person, not as damaging, bad against blasters again (I don't see the double saber as an effective deflection weapon because of the way it's held, a single saber works better because you can hold it vertically along your body, using it as a shield).

 

The dual saber forms I'd see 1 as being pretty aggressive, good against single melee wielders but bad against multiple targets. And one would be blaster deflection and multiple enemy oriented, more defensive.

It's also a darn shame that the animations for lightsaber fighting are all the same no matter what forms you use.. when I first got the game and learned there were lightsaber forms, I was excited I thought it'd make each character be able to have their own style and look different when fighting with a lightsaber from anyone else, because they'd use different forms.

 

Though I make due with my usual parties of Exile/Handmaiden/Mira... Exile uses single saber (yes I know, double sabers are way better blah blah, but single saber fighting looks more fancy, and is more rp).. Handmaiden uses a double silver saber (and looks damn good with it too, I gave it to her because she started with a staff anyway.), and Mira uses 2 viridian sabers, and looks dead sexy. :)

I was wondering if someone could do something about adding a head to the selectable pcs...

 

 

the head I talk about is the one of Dopak, the captain of the mercenaries on Dantooine. the one with the short goatee.

 

 

I just think it would rock as a pc!

Let me stop you right there. The forms represented in this game are not based on the 7 forms that came from a Star Wars Magazine so dont even try to put it together. Those where terribly inaccurate representations anyway.

 

And the mysterious form 6 is actually for Jedi Watchmen, so play through the game as a Jedi Watchmen and you will get the Niman form instead of the Juyo Form.

I just played through the locked doors that are now unlocked BIG THANKS 2 DARTH333 for that :)

 

In the room with the tables/med tables it would be a killer place for a new merchant that say....sells very high quality custom lightsaber parts. Maybe he was once a powerful padawan but was marooned on Dantoonie. He could even give a side quest!! Say going into the ruins underground to get a "component he needs" or something off a body or chest in his old room. Maybe after you buy all his stuff (and have HK functional) he could be persuaded to "pick up his lightsaber" and fight with you as a Jedi Watchman or something. Just a thought :)

A good way to maybe combine the sources is to merge the planets from kotor 1 into Kotor 2. It would be a hard task to show the change that has happened in five years but it is achieveable. How it would trigger it that in the Sith Academy on Korriban a Star Map would appear giving u the co-ordinates for planets of the first game. Modders could transform places like tatooine as being ruled by a Hutt - Motta with no more Czerka for example by putting some planets back in from the original it gives the player an indication of the transition that has taken place in just a five year period. Also by combining the original parts of a world with the TSL worlds you could make a cool environment for a new world

Hmm, interesting... If I knew how to do this I would. Problem is it probably involves scripting and well I haven't tried that... yet. But I second this mod request! If nobody creates it before I figure out scripting I am gonna do this.
