Ellderon
1. Some people have been asking for two-handed lightsabers 8me included) and hte response was that a new such blade cannot be made, as you can only change lightsaber hilts. After reading the lightsaber tutorials something struck me. The process for making lightsabers is to makea model, import a lightsaber model from the game, unlink the stock hilt, resize & position your hilt and link it to the rest of hte model. the thing is - couldn't you just import Malaks lightbare model to work with insted of the standard one? It has a longer blade by defualt, and changing the hilt shouldn't have no effect on the length of the! I would try this myself, but I don't have 3DMax installed currently (where did I put that dman CD???). 2. In my hobby as modder I once modified all armors in Baldur's Gate 2 to work on a different principle. Instead of havng a defense bonus, armors soaked a percentage of damage. Light armors absorbed around 20% of most damage types and gave a small defense bonus. Medium armor had a 40-50% damage reduction but no defense bonus. Heavy armor had up to 70% damage reduction but allso a small penalty on defense. Armors really were differents, since a chain mail for example, has 70% damage reduction from piercing attacks, but only 10% for lunt weapons. the possibilities for really various basic items were huge. This little experiment of mine was well accepted by the community and I figure something like this can be done for KOTOR 2 as well. 3. there was more but I can't remeber what..oh well, I'll get back on it later. Ellderon
Just remebred... 1. I am trying to make a new armor based on the Jedi armor robes. So I extracted the textures and went to modify them, but somthing struck me as od... PFBM01 - female texture and PMBM01 - male texture.. tehy are completely the same!? Did I extract the wrong files? 2. Bastilla's clothes are kick-ass (especilly swohs re-texture). I know you can make a wearable armor out of it, but limited to females only since there is no male model version. Is anyone making it?

It appears that all of the robe and jedi armor textures in TSL are the same. Kudos to OE.

It's what I did for KotOR mods (Revan's Longsaber, Longsaber Crystal Pack, Segan's Saber) and if I'm correct, RedHawke did this very thing in his TSL Exile Item Pack for the saber crystals, which will be the HUGE saber once you get a hilt to place that bad-boy in ::EDIT:: Oops. I forgot to mention the teensy fact that you don't need GMAX in order to do this (as we can't import TSL models yet)...sorry, my bad... All you need to do is Hex edit the model "w_lghtsbr_006.mdl" and make sure to point your .uti file to the model # you changed it to. Also, be sure to rename to "w_lghtsbr_0XX.mdl" XX being the number you used...

Xcom
Originally posted by Ellderon 2. Instead of havng a defense bonus, armors soaked a percentage of damage. Hmm. I thought that's exactly what defense bonus did in KOTOR ..
Ellderon
dexterity + armor defense = Defense (pr, the ability to avoid getting damage) the system is like that in D20 and this suckes. there practicly is no difference in a char with high dex in light armor and a char with low dex in heavy armor. The way I modified Bg2 made the game feel more real and it was fun too:D the same should hold true for TSL. @ChAiNz.2da - yes, I'm aware of Redhawks mod. What I would like to do to my KOTOR2 game is the following: - change the vibrosword into a two-handed weapon. give it more damage - viroblade get's hte stats of vibrosword. - a new short vibrosword weapon type that get's the stats of viroblade - a new weapon type - two handed Lightsabre (Allready made a special hilt for it) - add a robe or two (in prgoress) - make some encounters more difficult (espacially the beginning mining droids) - the blade finesse skill that works for both lightsabres and normal blades - and other stuff, but that is allready being done in other mods (Like Demolitions skills stuff and better stroy)
