Mav
Well, long story short I was just tinkering around with the game trying to figure out the best way to get easy, close-up, in-game screenshots of my hilts, and I sort of stumbled onto a pretty effective method for screenshots. The following is sort of a screenshot fo how to set up for a close-up screenshot, you'll see what I mean. Screenie for a screenie - 330kb Anyway, the first thing you do is create a robe or armor that is full alpha channel and no shader, so that the body model becomes invisible, including the hands, which means a clear shot at your saber or sword hilt or your gun, whatever. Second find a two-leveled area, I used the ramp of the satelite building in the Mandalorian Ruins next to the battle circle. This allows for the two character s you will be using to be at different heights... you'll see what I mean. Now you will need two characters, Your PC and another, the second doesn't really matter, as long as they can either equip what yoyu are taking a screenshot of or doesn't have a funky view in first-person, like Kreia, Visas, and the droids. I used my PC to hold the hilts and Mira to "view" the hilts. Okay now put your character with the thing you are taking a screenie of on the ramp, and put the other character next to the ramp, line up the character so that they are eye-level to the hilt, or whatever, next switch to the "viewing character", hit your caps lock button to go into First-Person and take your screenie. I hope this helps somebody, Mav
Shadow Blaze
Hmm not a bad idea. But I still like the way I have been doing it using T3. But I will have to try this.

The problem with T3 is that when you go into first person with him/her (I'm having a little gender confusion with robots ) you get a blueish tint on your screen and the color of your hilt doesn't show. Shadow Blaze
Hmm I haven't noticed that. I would use the editing the .ini file by adding in the line for the camera but I forgot what it was:(
T7nowhere
You can turn off Framebuffer and the visual FP effects will be turned off. Also another thing to try would be to play with Camerastyle.2da

Also another thing to try would be to play with Camerastyle.2da You could also alter videoeffects.2da and change line 1 (VIDEO_EFFECT_FREELOOK_T3M4) to remove all the special effects from T3s freelook camera, giving him a normal (but low) view. Just set all the fields to 0 on that line and he'll have a normal view without any changed colors or noise.
Mav
here I thought I was being clever with my little trick with the ramp and the invisible armor, but NOOOOO, here come the pro's with their .2da editing and what not... ... lol j/k

svösh
The alpha trick is handy Mav and something our master of making stuff disappear has been using since early on with k1 aka ..Sep After he told me I have been using it as well. I have one 100% shader and .txi “blending punchthrough “ on the soldier default clothes both male and female for this reason. It’s a great trick to see your new skinned models from all sides because there maybe some UV stitching you didn’t see before that the characters hand was covering. For screenies in k2, because of the ridiculously Massive GUI scaled for the legally blind … camera hacking the Camerastyle.2da is the only way to fly Again Sep hooked me up with his edited Camerastyle.2da that I too edited for my own preference. The combo of these 2 tricks is a weapon modelers friend svösh
General Kenobi
If your a Darth333 lover like me you've already got the hovering saber forcepower. I use that power to create a few sabers around me after combat and then rotate my camera and you can get some really good screenshots that way too. Just a thought.
