ROTS novel

i was browsing my local bookstore yesterday and nearly shat myself when i saw this on the shelf. needless to say i bought it and read the entire book cover to cover last night. most of you probably already know everything that happens so i wont bother describing the entire book in detail but i would like to ask the other people who have read this what they think about it.

Which scenes impressed you most? what did you think of the mirroring of the original trilogy (Anakin getting angry and chopping Dooku's hand off ala Luke vs vader ep6 etc)? what were your opinions on Palpatines trickery? on the final conversation between Obi-wan and Anakin?

i personally loved this book. it was well written and gave detail that the movie simply wont be able to match (like Dooku's thought process as he gets surprised by Obi/anakins false saber styles and Mace's Vaapad later). Most importantly this book gives me hope that we have yet to see the best starwars movie of all time. not only is its title a hell of alot better than "attack of the clones" or "the empire strikes back" it actually has a plot that moves quickly and powerfully (unlike TPM imo).

so if you read the book and want to comment, or just plain want to comment/ask something go for it. i'll be checking back on here in between re-reading the book and going to the bathroom... every 5 minutes. ah a glimpse into the life of a 90 year old.

they showed the scar in the 3rd season of clone wars and the visual dictionary says it came from his confrontation with asajj ventress (sp). i don't believe the movie will explain it, that is at least what pablo hidalgo said in one of his interviews/updates. i could be wrong though. i havn't read the book yet.

I'm almost done reading it now, and there's one thing in particular that bugged me :

No scene on Kashyyyk!

I know it is in the movie, but it would also have been great to read the battle in the novel.

And I think that Palpy's dialogues are just great. If they're as good as this in the movie, I'm sure that Ian McDiarmid can get some praise for this role (we already know that he knows how to act... what was missing is a semi-leading role).
