Stuck on Goto mission

Recommended Posts

I've done every mission on every world I can, and now there seems nothing left for me to do. I am supposed to bring Goto to the Hutt in Nar Shadda, but I killed him really early on, and now when I speak to the Hutt he just tells me that I dont have Goto with me (in chains), so I cant speak more, cant produce Goto, and cant complete that mission - which I suspect is the only thing left that will allow me to progress the game!

Am around 26th level, all told (if that helps).

Doesn't it give you the option "I don't have goto with me, but rest assured he will trouble you no longer." when talking to the hut?

I'm not sure if it's dependant on you setting up trade with Telos for fuel before you get the message to meet with Visquis or not.

Anyways after the rescue from goto's ship, that dialog option should be there. & that should clear it from your journal.

No I don't get that message - and I've tried talking to just about everyone on Telos to set up the fuel arrangement - and done the General Vaklu mission (attacked the queen), and everything else that seems available to do!

Who do I need to speak to to set up the fuel arrangement then? I thought it was already set up, as someone I spoke to said they'd do it or something!

Achilles, with respect, you haven't read my post fully - when I speak to Vogga, he just says that he can't see Goto with me in chains. I can only reply that 'you're not as funny as you think', then he says 'you're not as safe as you think', but then the dialogue ends! There is no way for me to talk with him further, and I dont get the option 'I've already dealt with him'.

This game is full of bugs. It's so annoying because it's actually a great game, and I'm really into it, but I just can't get past this point!

Can anyone provide a solution?

In other words, since I don't think I have a save that far back (and it was a long time ago), I'm s*****d !!!

It's really stupid that the game allows you to take actions that totally prevent you from progressing!! It's actually the second bug I've encountered that requires going back to a previous save! Unfortunately, the only save I now have that's probably before Vogga is like 25 hours of gaming ago. That's such a bummer that it probably means I won't bother, so the whole game is a total waste of time for me.

If anyone knows a way round this bug - where I can activate the extra dialogue option with Vogga without going back to a previous save - please tell me!!!

In the meantime, I can only say - WATCH OUT FOR BUGS!!!

Grrrr.

Hundar, with respect, I did read your post. Note that this time you took the time to provide the actual dialog options that are available to you rather than...

"now when I speak to the Hutt he just tells me that I dont have Goto with me (in chains), so I cant speak more, cant produce Goto, and cant complete that mission"

..which I hope you can agree, might be a little harder to follow.

Based on what you posted this time, I can only tell you that it appears that a global was not set when you completed Goto's Yacht. There is a conditional script that looks for the global which will then make the necessary dialog option available. You could probably use KSE to figure out which global needs to be changed and then edit your save as needed.

I hope that helps. Good luck!

Ok point taken about my explaination - sometimes it's difficult to remember when you don't have the game loaded up!

Your reply might help, if I knew what a 'global' was, or had any sort of knowledge of the things you speak of. I'm not a programmer, not even an amateur one, so I've no idea how I change things so that the game will pick up the appropriate pointer to allow the dialogue option that I need.

Sorry, I know that those of you who DO know must find those of us who DON'T very tedious. Nevertheless, if anyone can explain step by step how I do this (yeah I know thats a long shot), I'd be ultra grateful.

Thanks Tupac, I downloaded it, changed that value and got the extra message option!

Thing is, I STILL can't get another mission!!!

There is one area on Nar Shadda still to explore (near the Hutt's entrance from the promenade with the 3 pylons) - but the doors don't show those green activation sights that eneble you to interact with them.

What changes do I have to make to explore there and/or persue the telos fuel mission further? Or maybe I need to get Kreia to guide me to the final stage of the game - but again I've fully explored the dialogue options I have with her.

How do I open up her dialogue options to do the final stage?

BTW, many thanks to all those who've offered advice!!

You can't open these doors during normal gameplay: this area is part of the cut content. However, if you absolutely want to see what's behind those doors, you can use my "whereami armband" to open any door in the game: http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php

Just stand in front of a door and activate the armband to open it. (to give yourself the armband, either use KSE or the cheat code giveitem d3_location )

make sure you completed all the planets (Telos, Nar SHadaa, Dantoine, Dxun + Onderon and Korriban). Once you are finished, go talk to Kreia.

Found out what was wrong! Even though i thought I'd completed all the planets, it turns out there was a new section of the crystal caves to explore, the bit with the Jedi in captivity! Did that, then spoke to Krea and did the final stage and completed the game!!

It was a fantastic game, with terrific dialogue options and great mechanics; but the ending seemed a little sudden to me.

:deathii:

Makes me want to play the d20 roleplaying game!

For the GOTO thing just download the latest patch and you can go back redo the Telos Fuel thing. Tthe only way you can sucessfully complete that quest anyways is to have the patch.

Otherwise you can pick the option about the hutt not having to worry about GOTO anymore but when you go see Grenn it wont give you the option to resolve the fuel situation with him.

Also if you wanna get inside those doors near Vogga's place then just go back and look in some of the recent threads here on the forum, like the ones that talk about opening doors and such and there should be a link to a site *by Darth333 I think* where you can download a mod that allows you to get in there.

Theres nothing there besides a few rooms with some computer terminals and boxes though. Going in there is just so you can say you did it.

The mod does get rid of the doors completely though and you can get some nice stuff on Khoonda in the private rooms as well but I think you need another mod on the same site to actually be able to get the stuff in there though.
