jon_hill987 Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 http://65.127.124.62/south_asia/4483241.stm.htm As creepy as that sounds I noticed a mistake in the article: malaria is a parasite not a virus. on a closer inspection you notice that the url is not http://www.news.bbc.co.uk/aisa/1286487263478.htm or something
Sabretooth Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 Looks like a plain hoax to me. Quan'sul doesn't even ring a bell in BBC's search. But a pretty good impersonation, methinks. EDIT: You'll also notice that all of the headlines to the right of the article, point towards Lebanon and Syria. I get a feeling the poster is from either of those countries.
KBell Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 heh, my brother thought it was real. He started freaking out, lol
Dagobahn Eagle Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 Bah, I liked this one a lot better (especially the evidence of raw 'n' healthy Canadian violence against ol' Dubya): My brother thought it was true:). And it would be nice if it was, although Canada would be in a world of trouble. And of course, there're always UFO hoaxes to browse trough.
jon_hill987 Posted April 28, 2005 Author Posted April 28, 2005 Yeah, I worked out it was fake quickly, I thought it was too far fetched but the mistakes gave it away. •-BLaCKouT-• Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 ..erm, don't tell me no-once's noticed... Last Updated: Monday, 1 April, 2005, 17:00 GMT 18:00 UK The url aside, surely that would give you an indication? Eh? eh? Apart from the fakery of the whole thing it looks kinda cool though! B.
