The_Maker Posted May 7, 2005 Share Posted May 7, 2005 I am trying to create a simple .2da edit that changes carth's default clothes to a rebulic soldiers clothes. I opened up KOTOR Tool and went to the .bif/.2da/appearance.2da file and went to the bottom (where it has male, female, asian, black, causcasian etc. republic enteries) And I copied the enteries from modelb and texb from the "Republic_Soldier_Mal_White_02" and copied them into carths modelb and texb enteries but I keep getting this weird "underwear" (if you can even call it that ) Why does it keep doing this and what am I doing wrong? I can't model to save my life so changing the carth clothing model and replacing it with the republic soldier clothing model won't happen any time this century Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
T7nowhere Posted May 8, 2005 Share Posted May 8, 2005 you can do the same thing with out .2da's. you just need to find and extract the republic model and texture and name t to the same as Caths clothe model and texture. I took the N_RepOff01.tga and renamed it P_CarthBB01 (case sensitive), and then took the "n_repsold" mdl and renamed it "p_carthbb" and put both of the renamed files in my override and got this.... http://img189.echo.cx/img189/5954/yayblankcity0af.jpg Where'd I go wrong? RedHawke Posted May 8, 2005 Share Posted May 8, 2005 You will also need to extract the n_repsold.mdx and rename it to P_CarthBB.mdx as well. All KOTOR and TSL models are comprised of 2 files a .mdl file and an .mdx file. You have to rename both for a model to work in game. I hope this helps!
