Sorwen
I'm trying to learn texturing items. I started with the basic Jedi robe. When I load it into 3dmax 7 the texture doesn't look like it is lined up correct. The best example is that the front flap the right half is the cream color of the robe and the left half is totally black as if it isn't lining up right? Can anyone give me and Idea as to what I'm doing wrong? I used n_jedirobem model and the texture PMBI04. Thanks.
T7nowhere
That model uses n_jedirobe01 as its texture, although the closest I could find was N_JediRobeM but thats not the proper texture. It might be assigned in appearance.2da though.
Bob Lion54
First off, WELCOME! I think I had the same problem once. I made some robes that came out looking tiedyed. Save the texture with the option "align to bottom right." I use GIMP, but I would imagine most programs have a simular option. Are you using 3dmax 7 to retexture robes? I think thats a modeling program( correct me if I'm wrong though). Try photoshop or Gimp. I hope that helps. Edit: T7 beat me to the punch. As a rule, trust what he says before you listen to me. hehe
Sorwen
Thanks for the input (and the welcome). Your right 3d max is for modeling, but I was using it to make sure I had the right texture before I started doing any editing. That model uses n_jedirobe01 as its texture, although the closest I could find was N_JediRobeM but thats not the proper texture. It might be assigned in appearance.2da though. I found another thread in the modeling help that said to use the PMBXXX textures as they are the correct ones. went exported it said to use a_jedirobe01 which doesn't exist. Yes there is the n_jedirobe01 and it works the same way as it is the same texture.
