randydg
does anyone have any advice on how to do custom voice overs? i want to do my own voice overs for my mods. I even tried doing it and saving it as a wav file format but i can't get it to say anything. i'm using windows sound recorder thing. I'm not even sure if the .wav file format im using is the same as the game's. i tried to do it and put it under streamvoice under my mods area name (949) folder. any advice would be helpfull
TheProphet
Well first of all, format means almost nothing with voice files in SWKOTOR 1/2, i save all my voice files in .mp3 format because when you have 108 voice files, smaller size is a better way to go. anyways, i just put those directly in the streamvoice folder, and not in any of the subfolders then in the VO_ResRef of the line you want the guy to speak just but the name of the file you have, do not add .wav, mp3, etc... randydg
WOOOT I FIGURED IT OUT!!! Voices are recorded through mp3 file format then they just renamed the extention to .wav for somereason. so if you record sound through .mp3 and then rename the extention to .wav it works!!! Edit: yea, i figured it out thanks for replying though
