PR-0927
Right, so whenever I have been watching videos on the Internet or downloaded videos on my computer, Windows Media Player screws them up! The videos are all bright! Also, shadows become reddish and stuff. Everything looks foggy too. But, the settings like saturation, brightness, etc., are all in the middle. WHAT'S GOING ON? And, how the hell do I fix it? It randomly happened one day, and it's been like that ever since.

TK-8252
You can't uninstall WMP. It's hard-coded into Windows, which is horribly impracticle. My WMP is also screwed up. When you try to run a video, after a few seconds of play, it slows way down like in slow motion, but the audio remains normal. So I use WMC. PR-0927
Hmm, no luck. I know that I can't uninstall it. I just rolled it back... It still is really screwed up. All the colors are bright and fuzzy. What is this WMC of which you speak?
PR-0927
Wow, WTF, I fixed it, LOL... I just right clicked on the video, went to options, and made the "hardware acceleration" in the middle... Oh, well. Thanks anyways, you all.
lukeskywalker1
Oh, now I remember, I didn't uninstall WMP, I just reinstalled right over it. I had a virus that took over media player (strange host, but whatever) and yeah, just installed over it, fixed the problem, killed the virus.
