Xzooma
Cant find any good adventures games to play so I made Manny out of paper-mache, love, and sheer boredom. Later

VampireNaomi
That looks great. How big is it in real life?
Tuetonic708
Why is it that Manny looks perfect in computer but in the real world meaning if he was sketched, sculpted, etc. He's not Manny?
Rubacava
I don't know... I can never get him to look quite right when I draw him. I think this guy's sculpture-y thing turned out pretty good, though.
Tuetonic708
Exactly!
VampireNaomi
I've noticed that same thing too. I don't even try to draw him anymore because I always get him wrong. It's strange, he looks so simple... Glad to know that you've noticed it too.
Tuetonic708
Maybe you guys should have a contest on who can DRAW Manny the best! I'd suck really bad
Xzooma
Thanks. My artistic ego has doubled in size! Here's some better pictures to show you how misshapen and sloppy my work really is: I think Tuetonic's right he looks better in game. Yes, thats my copy of GF in a frame I loaded up GF, drew some sketches of his skull from all sides. I was going for the oddly yet perfectly misshapen polygon head from the game. I didn’t really like his roundness in MI3. I tried to get to the wireframe on debug mode but couldnt get it to work. I was also trying to export Manny and the other characters to a 3d program so I could get some exact measurements but couldnt figure out how. Any advice would be great. Anyway, he’s 8'' tall and 4'' wide. Crumpled up some newspaper till I got something that looked like Manny. Slopped some mache on, did a crappy sanding job, and slapped on some paint. I think I spent 9 or 10 hours over a few months putting him together. Any ideas on what to do with him? I was thinking of making a neck, some shoulders, and a hood to finish him off as a bust. Or give him a body and attach some stings to turn him into a marionette. Then I could make my own GF adventures. I also have plans for a 2' by 1' skull but still trying to figure out what I can use as a frame and general shape of the skull. I'd love to make him life size and scare nobody. Anyone know how thay make those REALLY big skulls they put on sticks for Day of the Dead and march around with? Later.
VampireNaomi
It really looks good in those pictures. Also, reading your description of how you did it was fun. You really went through the trouble to make him look as good as possible. Hey Tuetonic, that's actually a very good idea. We could hold an un-official GF drawing challenge thing, just for fun. Rubacava
Lol, the idea of a little Manny marionette is just too cute. And silly. :
90SK
Yeah, your sculptures are the most accurate I've ever seen. Nice work! Are you planning on doing any of the other characters?
