Making a mod...need help

I am making a mod to change Darth Malak's theme into the Imperial march. What is the .wav file for malak's theme? Also, do .utc changes only take effect if you start a new game, because some of my mods, like "Darth Chuundar" (makes Chuundar a dark lord, not released) and stuff aren't working...

yes almost always all changes in a utc require a game restart

 

Not sure if it does, but I believe it sorta "saves" a copy of your party member or the like in saved games.

 

I'd help with the other question man but only used mods for K1 didn't mod then so I don't know.

For the .utc file, just load a game before entering a particular area for the first time. No need to restart a game entirely.

Did you put your replacement music in MP3 format? The Music in KotOR does not appear to be in the common WAV format, but if you replace them with a MP3 file the game should use that instead.

 

I.e. if you put mus_bat_malak.mp3 in your streammusic folder and remove mus_bat_malak.wav, your new mp3 should be used instead. At least it works that way in TSL.
