SBF_Dann_Boeing
Alright there's this one thing I've seen that's been bugging people alot when downloading mod maps. Some people zip their files into rar file format and not everyone's computer can read those files. If you've been having trouble with this you should download WinRAR free trial which will be able to read and extract these files. It's pretty helpful. For full details about it visit this site http://www.rarlab.com/index.htm.
zerted
Well, I'm not sure you can zip files into rar. Rar is a better format than zip, at least thats what I think. It also provides more features for its archives.
Leviathan
Do not forget PowerArchiver. It manages *.ZIP (In compression and decompression) and *.RAR (In decompression) formats...
SBF_Dann_Boeing
That's another good one.
Leviathan
I consider it as the best archiving utility...
zerted
I never of heard of it. It only has "*.RAR (In decompression)" while WinRAR has .rar compression and decompression. But to each his own.

Leviathan
It isn't a fighting, but a "comparison" of archiving-utilities...
SBF_Dann_Boeing
It looks like by "comparison" you mean "argument." Hey I just openned this because there are several other threads asking what to do with rar files.
