stingerhs
the capablities of the PhysX card is definately a good sign of things to come in video games. just think about it: clothing that moves and reacts to a model's input based soley on physics. or an explosion where every little piece of rubble is rendered and moves realisticly based on the orgin of the explosion as well as the type of material its made from. but i think that once games start getting multi-threaded for the new duel-core processors, the games will just use one core to handle the physics processing while the other core handles the gameplay. it would work, and most games are just single threaded anyway, so you wouldn't really get a hit in performance. and it is a bit difficult to justify chucking $300 just to get some nice physics effects in the gameplay. and note that the above mentioned idea is likely the only way you'll get those kind of effects on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. the difference, though, is that they have more than two cores to work with, so it won't be too much of a system hog.
