The Doctor
I could try, but I'm not very experienced with modding. Would you like it to be a sonic weapon?
Darth InSidious
That would be cool Maybe base it on something like a mug of beer, so it keeps the animations? And if it could increase your security/computer use/repair skills that would be cool too
The Doctor
I could install sounds, too, but I wouldn't be able to create the model easily....
spinkle
doctor, do you by chance have a link to a doctor who episode guide? i'm looking for a particular episode i haven't seen since literally 1990...pretty sure it was a Tom Baker episode and I'm damn sure it involved Tegan and mirrors used to trap a giant snake that started out as a tatoo. The accuracy of this synopsis is of course highly questionable, the last 15 years have not been kind to my brain. Incidentally, my favorite doctor is/was Tom Baker tho Pertwee comes close, and my favorite villain is by far Davros. As for the sonic screwdriver mod, i was being somewhat facetious, but i would agree that if it's gonna be created it should give a skills boost =)
The Doctor
You can find an episode guide on the BBC Doctor Who page: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/episodeguide/index.shtml You can also find one here: http://www.drwho-online.co.uk/episodes/episode-guide.htm BTW, the episode you're reffering to was one of the two with the Mara. I'm not sure if you're talking about Peter Davison's third episode (Kinda), or the the second episode of his second season (Snakedance). One of the two, for sure. spinkle
just looked at the ep guide. i'm absolutely certain it's Kinda: "Aided by the Kinda, the Doctor ultimately succeeds in banishing the Mara - which manifests itself in the form of a giant snake - by trapping it in a circle of mirrors." Thanks so much! It's been bugging me for years and I'd never gotten around to finding it. I remember watching that ep shortly after i started learning to play bass guitar...i think about that episode and sonic screwdrivers whenever I tune guitars using harmonics because of it. Ridiculous, I know =) human brains make funky connections sometimes...damn synapses

deathdisco
Anyone ever heard the song "Doctorin' the Tardis" by the Timelords(A.K.A. The KLF) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000000GQX/ref=m_art_li_1/102-7211933-5209717?v=glance&s=music Good stuff.

chaleur
I have two doctor who mixes on my playlist. There's that one (which they always play at NHL games!), and there's a mix by Orbital, which I think is better, 'cause it has more of the original Dr. Who sounds. When I lived in the UK I got a CD of sound effects from Dr. Who for my best friend, but I don't have any tracks from it here. I'd love to get my hands on it again. deathdisco
...which they always play at NHL games!... That's probably Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll" which is where that part of "Doctorin' the Tardis" came from.

chaleur
I saw an episode of the British "Whose Line is it Anyway" where they were given various props and told to make something of them. This one guy had a giant sheet of bubble paper (the kind you use for packing). His line was: "What do you mean, I have to make twenty-six aliens for Dr. Who out of this?" That about sums up my opinion of the original Dr. Who. It was absolutely aces what they did.

This includes the theme from when David Tennant will be playing The Doctor. Check it out! DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR THE DOCTOR WHO FORUMS! THE LINK CAN BE FOUND IN MY SIGNATURE!
