BongoBob
http://latinoreview.com/scriptreviews/halo/review.html I don't know, it seems real enough. And if he is telling the truth, it sounds like we're gonna get a kick ass movie Just a few inconsistensies that I detected, but those are all from the books, so I know not many will get them. But then again they also have alot of stuff from the books that are right, so I am extremely happy.
Katarn07
*vagugley recollecting several Indy IV scripts dating as far back as '95 having been reviewed online* I didn't read it due to possible spoilers if it is real, but I do have my doubts. jokemaster
^Well, there HAVE been numerous Indy IV scripts, but they paid this guy a million bucks to write the script, I doubt they'd replace it.

toms
Well, Alex Garland is a good writer. The thing about video game scripts is they are always too lightweight and basically just a collection of set-pieces. What good writer needs to do is grasp the essence of the license... and then do his own thing and create enough background to allow the film to work. The problem is that game fans can get upset if they make up too much new stuff.. but i think that as long as they grasp the important fundamentals of the license and incorporate those, they should get some slack to flesh the rest out. Its like when they make movies into games... if they are tied strictly to the plot the game sucks, but if they are allowed to make up their own stuff (whilst grasping what the movie was all about) the game is usually far better. (Riddick, Warriors, etc..) PS/ I rememeber reading indy 4 scripts when i was at Uni... god that was a long time ago. I remember reading a couple of very authentic seeming and excellent Alien 4 scripts too... shame they didn't use any of them...

How reputable of a source is this place? I've never heard of it. Have we heard of a script being made anywhere else by this guy and for that price? This is why I have my doubts. And to toms, the novels have a lot that the video game didn't have. They can draw more source material from them and end up not straying too far from the game. Basing third party derivations on other third party derviations seems a bad idea to me. Like if they had based the Prequel Trilogy on the EU novels or the SW games rather than created it directly from the universe. I'm not all that into the Halo mythos, but i can't see amny people will have read the books, and i wouldn't be sure the books were "canon" or anything. I'd rather the guy took the basc elements and core plot points from the halo games and made his plot around them.. rather than trying to make sure his plot fits in with the games, the books, and everythig else...
