[WIP]Kyle Katarn Look-a-Like contest!

Well, sence the other thread i made in the request forum has basicly become a wip thread now, why not make it 'offical'?

 

Im working on making faces and clothing to look similar to those of imperial officer - turned - mercenary for the rebelion - turned - jedi -turned - mercenary again - turned - jedi again : Kyle Katarn.

 

Loyal fans of this clasic gaming character will recognaize the names of the game's he has appeared in -

 

Star Wars: Dark Forces (DF)

Star Wars: Dark Forces 2 - Jedi Knight (JK)

Star Wars: Dark Forces 2 - Jedi Knight, Mysteries of the Sith (MotS)

Star Wars: Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast (JKO, JK2)

Star Wars: Jedi Knight, Jedi Academy (JKA, JK3)

 

I'm hoping to get several of kyle's 'looks' into kotor2. Thanks to Jedi Warrior, we now have 2 of kyle katarn's hilts in TSL, which will help emensly. Please note that I will be taking NOTHING out of any of the above games to make this mod. That would be illegal. As such, there will be no sounds included in anything I make, even if i make a little addon for myself that uses some of those games (joke)

need to tweak his hair, add more stubble, change the eye color, and attempt to add some of his characteristic grimice. Note that parts of this used influance taken from infinityblade's mercenary kyle katarn model from JK2.

I also intend to make a face similar to his appearance in the other games, which mainly means a slight change in his hair, and a beard. To do this, i have several heads that might work as a suitible base -

Male caucasion 04 - blonde with beard

Male Hispanic 02 - Simlar to above, with black hair, no beard, and no extentions of the hair

Clothing I intend to include with the above heads-

I will base this one on the padawan robe model, removing most of the lower trailing edges, and base it on this image, taken from a Dark Horse Graphic Novel-

I will also include variations that will have the full cloak, but HOPEFULLY those versions will look something like a trench coat

 

I will probably also do a version similar to that, using his clothing from mots (all black and armored) and from jko as well. The mots version will more then likey use either the disciple's clothing model, or the armor class 4 model (i think, or it could be 5, im not certain at this point which would would be better)

 

Let me state again that I will NOT be takeing any material directly from any product made by Lucas Arts or there aphilitates That contains the character Kyle Katarn. Nor any mod that uses images from said character as a basis. I will use the original games and mods from them as referances, nothing else.

A Kyle Katarn skin would be cool...

Since you are an exile, you have to look bad-ass. I think Kyle would fit in nicely.

And it would fit extremely nice in the Project Y robes.....

well, to totaly complete the mod i have in mind, i'd like to wait untill svosh finishes his prodject y, with his permision obviously, but im waiting untill that comes out.

 

i DO have some armor that is similar in design to his clothing from mysterys of the sith, i have some faces that might work, but im still tinkering. And i have no ds transitions yet for any of them (im always ls anyway, so im hopeless )

 

and its the holidays, so my gaming time in general is cut down, not to mention runing a few clans in several games, and moding for other games

 

so, do i have new heads, new sabers, new clothing, new heads.2da, portriats.2da, itemscreate and itemscreatemira.2da's? All linked up into a nice install package?

 

short answer is no

 

long answer is i'm working on it
