Weapons Firing Problem

I don't have a mousewheel on my mouse because I have a track ball. I do have two buttons on the side of my mouse I want to use instead of the mousewheel. I tried to change the weapons prev and weapon next. And now it doesn't respond to my left and right mouse clicks. I can look around and switch weapons with my mouse buttons but no left and right (firing buttons.)

You cant survive without mouse wheels these days, and trackballs are so outdated.... For a good mouse with wheel, you can get a Logitech MX518 cheaper now i guess.

The game engine might not be able to handle those extra mouse buttons. maybe you could find a device driver that would convert those inputs into keyboard keys so you can use them with the game.
